"It is one of the most famous desserts in international pastry making, a flag of the Veneto region, which has also been able to conquer the world. Tiramisu is a regional excellence that joins the imagination of those who challenge each other every year in revisiting a recipe that has been handed down from generation to generation for years and which is the symbol of Treviso and the Veneto. This dessert is, in all respects, a point of reference for our food and wine culture and this international event demonstrates its interest, so much so that competitors will arrive from Thailand and India to take part in the tastiest challenge of the year".

He said so the Tourism Councilor of the Veneto Region, Federico Caner, on the occasion of the presentation of the seventh edition of the Tiramisù world Cup, in which they participated Francesco Redi of Twissen, creator and organizer of the event and Mario Conte, mayor of Treviso. And it will be the capital of the Marche itself that will host the "grand final", from 5 to 8 October 2023, which he already sees 310 competitors coming from all over Europe as well as guests and influencers from all over the world.

"This event, which has grown over the years, demonstrates how food and wine tourism is one of the ways to go for the promotion of the territory and the valorisation of typical products made with raw materials that have made large cities and small villages famous - Caner added -. Dishes that are part of our culinary tradition, but which in all respects are true ambassadors of the Veneto, since it is not only the hospitality system that makes the difference in choosing a destination, but also the food and wine culture. And where you eat and drink well, there is also tourismo ".

Since 2017, the Region has supported the Tiramisù World Cup and, in particular, this year there will be an exhibition stand in the square in the Loggia dei Cavalieri and an area branded with the regional tourist brand in the Orangerie in Piazza dei Signori.
