Venice: Presentation of the book “Tango y sociedad” at the Cultural Relations Center.
The epic of tango and Argentine society, Italian version of the Argentine original by Roberto Luis Martínez and Alejandro Molinari, tells the story of tango, from its humble origins among immigrant communities in the second half of the nineteenth century to its affirmation as a cultural symbol of Argentina. A journey that intertwines music, poetry and dance, showing how tango has been able to represent an entire society and its transformations, becoming a universal language that unites different cultures and traditions.
Alessandro Cane
Among the passions he has always practiced, such as drawing, painting and sculpture, since 1997 he introduced tango by deepening his knowledge of the artistic, musical, cultural and historical aspects that compose it. He was a teacher, tango musicalizador and scriptwriter of the show “Escuela de tango” performed in Reggio Emilia in 2007. Together with Patricio Lolli, he holds charlas and themed meetings for the dissemination of the history of tango.
