The weekend just ended showed the Varese's ability to attract the general public and simultaneously manage events of different kinds but of great appeal, combining important initiatives in different fields. A weekend that in fact saw the co-presence of one multiplicity of events, with more than 40 thousand visitors in the city on the two days of Saturday and Sunday.

“Varese is experiencing a period of strong change – explains the mayor Davide Galimberti – not just with the realization of important works, but also with initiatives that highlight the vitality and richness of the city from a cultural, tourist, sporting and entrepreneurial point of view, showing that it knows how to make various attractive events coexist in a safe way, also thanks to a more accessible city with the new roads".

There are many events this weekend. Starting from the inauguration of Andrea Ravo Mattoni exhibition at Masnago Castle, which recorded a record attendance, involving not only the people of Varese but also many people from outside the province. Great turnout too Estensi Gardens for the Agrivarese event, as deputy mayor Ivana Perusin underlines: “An event that promotes the agricultural sector of the area, a supply chain that shows its full potential here vitality and ability to involve local businesses, families and enthusiasts, enhancing sustainable tourist enjoyment and enriching itself with cultural initiatives to discover the beauties of the city".

Success then for the initiative which every first Sunday of the month allows free entry to the Varese civic museums, which has favored continuous attendance at the exhibition at Villa Mirabello dedicated to the discoveries of the Castiglioni brothers and Ravo's personal exhibition in Masnago. Thanks to the good weather, many people visited the Campo dei Fiori, Sacro Monte and Schiranna, where preparations are underway for the first stage of the Rowing World Cup 2024, which will be held in just under a week on the waters of Lake Varese with the arrival of the first national teams, while the amusement park attracts thousands of young people and families from all over the province every day. Then there is basketball, with the home game of the red and whites, plus many other events in the city.
