Trieste present and participating in the great autumn sporting events: over 30.000 visitors at the municipal stand
The Municipality of Trieste exhibited its initiatives, services and urban redevelopment project at the "Porto Vecchio Porto Vivo" stand, attracting thousands of visitors during the two weeks dedicated to the largest regatta in the world and the subsequent Corsa dei Castelli.

The Municipality of Trieste has presented its activities, services and the urban regeneration project at the “Porto Vecchio Porto Vivo” stand set up in Piazza dell'Unità and which involved thousands of people over the course of two weeks characterised by the Barcolana and the Corsa dei Castelli.
The municipal stand, set up in Piazza dell'Unità d'Italia from 7 to 20 October, it welcomed over 30 thousand visitors during the week dedicated to the largest regatta in the world and the subsequent Corsa dei Castelli.
An opportunity to promote the initiatives and services offered by the municipal administration, but also to create a point of reference and meeting for all citizens who were able to learn in depth and experience first-hand the urban regeneration project of Porto Vecchio – Porto Vivo through a series of videos projected on different monitors and by asking questions and curiosities to the municipal staff, thus verifying the state of the art and what is the future planning and implementation. Visitors were also able to view and learn more about the project thanks to the interactive model through the use of QrCode and augmented reality with special viewers and interactive monitors.
The stand was also used to present the project to the citizens the “#DigitaleFacile” project, the service that uses PNRR funds to help digital inclusion and offers the skills for a conscious and advantageous use of digital reality, with particular attention to online services that concern the Public Administration. In this space it was possible provide facilities to individual citizens and promote informative/training sessions on the topics of cybersecurity, the correct use of social media and fake news.
There is also a dedicated space to Social Services who presented, through a series of afternoon meetings, the show INSIEME and the activities they carry out daily at the service of the citizens.
The enthusiasm has not stopped with the conclusion of the Barcolana. The municipal stand was in fact maintained during the week preceding the Corsa dei Castelli, the running event that saw the participation of thousands of athletes and enthusiasts. Even on this occasion, the municipal stand was a great success, closing the two weeks with over 30.000 visitors.
In the two weeks, the Municipality's stand hosted a total of 30 events open to the city, organized and presented by the Authority's staff and linked to digital, culture, social services, the opportunities that Europe offers to young people and a concert with live music. of the “Father&Son Street duo”.

We have received a lot of enthusiasm from citizens for these important works that are reopening an area that has been inaccessible for decades. Thanks also to the employees of the Administration who have made this success possible with their activity".
The stand was designed and created by collaboration of the Department of Innovation and Citizen Services, the Institutional Information and Open Government Service and the municipal Social Services.
