Trieste: II edition of the “Intergalactic Market”, November 1st and 2nd
The Intergalactic Market, scheduled for Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd November from 10am to 19pm in Largo Don Bonifacio, was presented at a press conference.
The deputy mayor and the councilor for economic policies took the floor, Serena Tonel, and Chiara Barbo, president of La Cappella Underground. Also present were the heads of the structure Francesca Dambrosi (Economic Activities) and Barbara Comelli (Economic Promotion) of the Municipality of Trieste.
The deputy mayor and councilor said Serena Tonel"Now in its second edition, Intergalactic Market it is a thematic initiative collateral to the historical one Trieste Science+Fiction Festival, which in turn represents one of the cultural events most loved by the people of Trieste. Thanks to the great public success of last year, the municipal administration has chosen to once again accept the organizers' proposal and intends to consolidate it in the future.
The Market is also a way to connect the festival, currently underway at the Teatro Rossetti, to the rest of the city and is an example of how the economic fabric of the city can be strengthened by culture. This is part of the fruitful collaboration with La Cappella Underground, which also recently led to the nerd culture festival 'Borgo Cosplay' in the municipal library of the Borgo San Sergio district”.
The Municipality of Trieste and La Cappella Underground are co-organizing the Intergalactic Market in Largo Don Bonifacio, a place that represents both the heart of the city and the ideal start of the climb towards the Politeama Rossetti, where the Trieste Science+Fiction Festival is taking place.
An innovative approach to science fiction cinema, the Intergalactic Market is an exhibition space dedicated to local artisanal realities, with the ambitious aim of give back to the city what the science fiction festival has received from it in its 60 years of life: artists, designers and artisans will exhibit space wonders, original artistic creations and collectibles ranging from gadgets such as bags to sweets, offering proposals for enthusiasts and neophytes of the science fiction, horror and fantasy genres.
