Trento, the 10 finalists of the ninth edition of “Strike! Stories of young people who change things” announced

On December 7th in Trento, the 10 finalists will share their inspiring stories of social commitment and creativity, competing for €4500 in prizes and other awards.

Trento, the 10 finalists of the ninth edition of “Strike! Stories of young people who change things” have been announced.

The date is approaching final of “Strike! Stories of young people who change things”. December 7th in the Sala in Cooperazione in Trento the ten selected finalists will tell their stories to the public and the jury.

The competition, now in its ninth edition, is promoted by the Franco Demarchi Foundation and the Agency for Social Cohesion of the Autonomous Province of Trento, with the collaboration of public and private partners. The stories in the final belong to different fields, from art to social, from community creation to personal growth.

Among the nominations received this year, 5 stories were chosen from Trentino, 2 from Lombardy and 3 from Veneto. Up for grabs are 4500 euros in prizes that the winners will use to create new initiatives, in addition to the Storytelling Award and special mentions, in collaboration with the Megalizzi Foundation and the Trento Capitale del Volontariato Committee.. There were 40 stories of girls and boys from Trentino Alto Adige, Veneto and Lombardy collected this year by the Strike! competition, aimed at young people between 18 and 35 with a story that has a positive impact on society and that can inspire others. From these, the 10 finalists were selected who will meet and compete on December 7 in Trento in the awaited final, starting at 18.00:XNUMX p.m.

In these weeks the contestants are undergoing a training course dedicated to storytelling and public speaking to arrive ready on the Strike stage and win over the jury and the audience. The evening will be, as always, a dive into the emotions that these contestants will make those present experience through their stories. The jury and the public will have the arduous task of choosing the winners of the prizes. Among the novelties this year is the Special Mention in collaboration with the Trento Capitale del Volontariato Committee, dedicated to the story of volunteering considered most deserving.

Here are the finalists (individuals or groups):

– Gruppo Afroveronesi (Veneto). A project born to create a “bridge” between the Veronese community and the different communities carrying different cultures, enhancing the role of the second generations.
– Alessandra Zuppa (Trentino) with Baby Space. A site already used by over 1000 families where you can find the mapping of all the breastfeeding and diaper changing points in Italy.
– Gruppo Birrette esistenzialiste (Trentino) encourages young people to ask questions, to question (and be) themselves, to respectfully discuss current issues.
– Gruppo Cactus Production (Lombardy). Independent film production company that has managed to grow over the years and reach the production of a low budget film.
– Noemi Cimonetti (Trentino) with the educational farm “Arca di Noemi”. Project for the recovery of animals in difficulty and the valorization of the culture of Val di Gresta.
– Group Libere di viaggiare (Veneto). Community of women travellers who support each other in a safe space, thanks to dissemination, photo reportages and networking.
– Luca Lazzeri Zanoni alias Luca Baz (Trentino) has built a solid community on Instagram and Tik Tok dedicated to folk singing.
– Gruppo Perfido (Trentino). Theater project dedicated to the delicate topic of mafia infiltration in Trentino.
– Filippo Gamberoni (Veneto) with Policaffè, a youth meeting point in Valdadige. A space to express yourself, train, grow and actively participate in community life.
– Greta Gozio (Lombardy) with Raw Power Studio. A personal project of rebirth from depression thanks to the creation of handmade paper.
