Trapani: XXX Day of Remembrance, “100 steps towards March 21st”

On March 21, 2025, Trapani will host the XXX Day of Remembrance and Commitment in memory of the innocent victims of the mafia, an event promoted by Libera and Avviso Pubblico. This day, which coincides with the first day of spring, wants to remember all the innocent victims of the mafia and renew the commitment in the fight against organized crime and corruption.

In view of the national procession that will pass through the streets of Trapani on Friday 21st, a first meeting was held at the Representation Hall of the Prefecture of Trapani, the first of the "one hundred steps towards 21 March 2025", which saw the participation of Don Luigi Ciotti, coordination Sicily and Trapani for “Libera, Associations, names and numbers AGAINST THE MAFIA”, of the Prefect Daniela Wolf, the heads of the Police Force, the Municipality of Trapani, the head teachers of secondary schools in the province of Trapani and some relatives of victims of the mafia.

Sicily, and Trapani in particular, represent a territory full of history and culture, but also of significant challenges. The Day of March 21, 2025 is part of a path that, starting today, will continue to mobilize consciences and promote social commitment together with thousands of citizens and hundreds of social entities.

The XXX Day of Remembrance and Commitment will be a moment of great significance, a collective embrace to the families of the victims and a firm promise not to give up in the fight for a better, more just and mafia-free Italy.
