Trapani: at the Trapani Film Festival the producers Matranga and Minafò win with “Ciuré”.
Not only actors and founders of a comedy school entirely made in Sicily, but also committed producers of a drama film and focused on social rights and which fully involves the theme Lgbtq +.
La vision of the meaning of art and the 360 degree show allowed the duo of Palermo actors Matranga and Minafò to contribute to victory al Trapani Film Festival of "Ciure”, the drama film directed by the director Giampiero Pumo and which they contributed to bringing to light through their production company Sicilia Social Star.
A victory for Tony Matranga and Emanuele Minafò, which corroborates their total idea of cinema, in view of the arrival of “The attacked”, their second film as protagonists, this time with a funny tone, produced for Amazon and which will be available on the Prime video platform from the end of August.
"Ciure" is set in one of the many forgotten suburbs of Palermo. Here Save, the protagonist, lives in one popular development together with his 6 year old son, after the mother she was removed due to health problems heroin. Short of money, Salvo decides to get entangled with an old man tour recovery credits among the little ones drug dealers and loan sharks of the area managed by his former brother-in-law. One evening, during a "ride" Salvo is attacked and robbed by three men who leave him on the ground in a mask of blood. To his rescue Ciurè arrives a transsexual girl who works as a dancer in a gay friendly club. With only three days to return the money, Salvo only has to accept Ciurè's invitation and perform at the club, eliminating his prejudices.
Protagonists of "Ciure” I am: the director and actor Giampiero Pumo, Marilu Pipitone, Vivian Belina, Lucio Calabrese Falcone, Maurizio Bologna, Ernesto -Tomasini, Antonello Russo, Tonia De Micco, Raffaele Taddei and Rosario Maggiore.
