#TOGETHERFORGLISDG: the event aimed at raising public awareness of the sustainable development goals starts tomorrow.

It starts tomorrow, Wednesday 15 November, the event in Trieste #TogetherfortheSDGs, the campaign promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in partnership with FAO, UN SDG Action Campaign, European Commission, CIHEAM Iamb of Bari and Save the Children Italy to raise public awareness of the sustainable development goals which will be hosted until November 18 from the city of Trieste.

The campaign will take you to the heart of the city of Trieste interactive installations on Agenda 2030 can be visited in the Salone degli Incanti, two high-level events dedicated to scientific cooperation and to the role of port cities for sustainable development, with focus on the Mediterranean area, leducational workshops for the little ones by Save The Children Italy and the event Will Meets edited by Will Media.

Tomorrow, Wednesday 15 November, at 11.30am since Hall of Enchantments the conference will be heldTrieste: Science for the 2030 Agenda” with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Edmund Cirielli, of the Mayor of Trieste, Roberto Dipiazza, of the Regional Councilor for Work, Training, Education, Research and University, Alessia Rosolen, of the President of Area Science Park, Caterina Petrillo and representatives of the international scientific center of Trieste. Immediately to follow the official inauguration of the installations will be held #TogetherfortheSDGs.

Saturday 18 November at 11.30 both at Luttazzi Room of Warehouse 26 in Porto Vecchio (now Porto Vivo) the final event of the four days in Trieste of the #TogetherforSDG campaign will take place, "Italian port cities: window on the Mediterranean" which proposes a reflection on the role of Mediterranean cities in building a prosperous and peaceful Mediterranean by protecting and managing, in a shared manner, the so-called "Mediterranean common goods” (such as the green transition, the blue economy, digital research and innovation, scientific and cultural diplomacy, health).

Following, at 17.30, the event will be held Will MEETS at Contamination Lab of the University of Trieste to activate local media partnerships.

Each stage of #TogetherforSDG contributes to a path it creates links and relationships between the promoting partners of the initiative and local realities with the aim of bringing out and enhancing the best local experiences. The initiative supports and develops sharing paths through training and teaching, participatory politics, active citizenship, play and creativity. In the end, the initiative develops partnerships with local media to promote the campaign messages and participation in the area.

From 15th to 18th November, from 9am to 18pm, it will also be possible to visit the interactive installation #TogetherfortheSDGs at the Salone degli Incanti.

An integral part of the #TogetherforSDG campaign are the traveling installations to inform and empower visitors on the sustainable development goals and on the role that each individual can play in achieving them and to show, with practical examples, how Italian Cooperation and its numerous international, national and local partners work in Italy for contribute to achieving the SDsG, informing young people, students, families and citizens on common commitment for sustainable development.

In addition to the installations, the format of the campaign includes numerous activities, which are defined together with local partners: for example, Extraordinary municipal councils which discuss the role of local authorities in achieving Agenda 2030; educational initiatives with the involvement of girls, boys, adolescents and schools, through workshops dedicated to the SDGs and organized by Save the Children Italy; creation of street-art mural works on sustainable development objectives, in partnership with the UN SDG Action Campaign, to enhance the role of art as a tool to mobilise, inspire and connect the general public on the SDGs, involving local artists and starting a process of urban regeneration through this street-art modality; days dedicated to sport as a tool for inclusion and dialogue.

#TogetherfortheSDGs was launched in Bari in October 2020 and 2021 he traveled to the cities of Bari, Teramo, Rome, Prato and Cremona to raise public awareness about Sustainable Development Goals (the SDGs) and on the work of the Italian Cooperation and its partners to achieve these objectives in the post-Covid19 world.
