18.00 Meeting | The future of indigenous art: collections and exhibitions

As part of the Public program of the exhibition We are Forest, curated by the philosopher Emmanuel Coccia, Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain invites artists, curators and intellectuals to discuss the future of indigenous art, and how to collect and represent it in contemporary art museums and foundations globally. The meeting will feature speeches from Daiara Tukano, artist, journalist, indigenous rights activist, human rights researcher, and Denilson Baniwa, artist and curator, presented by Emanuele Coccia. Also speaking will be: Hervé Chandès, General artistic director, Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain; Naine Terena, professor, curator, art educator; Andrea Viliani, Director of the Museum of Civilizations; Angela Rui, design curator, researcher.

from 11.30 to 13.00 Press preview | Vincenzo Castella. Oblique architectures
Press preview of the exhibition Vincenzo Castella. Oblique architectures edited by Lorenza Bravetta, curator for Photography, cinema and new media at the Triennale Milano. The exhibition investigates two themes dear to the photographer: botanical gardens and cities. The two concepts are told through various scales and dimensions: from large and very large format photographs to small format ones, up to the original contact sheets. The exhibition will open to the public from 19 October.

10.00 Laboratory | Dance Well – Research and movement for Parkinson's

Three-year Milano presents Dance Well: an initiative to promote the practice of contemporary dance in museum spaces and artistic contexts, which is aimed primarily, but not exclusively, at people living with Parkinson's. Classes are held every Thursday morning until the end of the year. Participation is open to all.

As part of the Forum of the Urban Regeneration Department of the Municipality of Milano, a day of meetings dedicated to the strategies necessary to face the challenges of climate change and the regeneration of large urban infrastructures. The meetings, organized by Milano Urban Center e C40 Cities, delve into the themes with an eye to the international context.

Le Convertite is an artistic-laboratory project created by Marina Ballo Charmet e Walter Niedermayr in the women's prison on the island of Giudecca in Venice, during 2022. It involved a large and heterogeneous network of subjects, with the aim of questioning the individual's relationship with the natural element understood as an antidote and vehicle of possible well-being even within an intra-mural institutional space such as prison. The artists Marina Ballo Charmet e Walter Niedermayr they discuss the project with Antonello Frongia, Gabi Scardi and Stefano Coletto.

Triennale presents the awards ceremony of the tenth edition of Green Passion Award, established in 2012 and promoted byA.Di.PA Association Campania, with the aim of promoting the culture of greenery. The Premio intends to award recognition to those who carry out actions or carry out activities of particular interest and value for public and private green areas, starting from the belief that it is necessary to offer encouragement to all those people who feel they are bearers of "black thumb” and who therefore give up one of the most rewarding human activities, useful to individuals, communities and the environment.

Triennale offers a series of guided tours to discover its exhibitions and its permanent collection. The Design Museum Italiano presents its new selection of objects and its new installation spanning one hundred years of the Triennale's history, with over 300 pieces chosen from 1.600 which make up the institution's collections and others on loan from important private collections.

An activity that involves families and children in the construction of structures and small bamboo villages. The technique used, that of the geodesic dome created by Richard Buckminster Fuller and brought by him to the Triennale on the occasion of the X International Exhibition in 1954 will allow you to create infinite compositions of small sustainable homes, combining bamboo sticks in ever new shapes.

Three-year Milano offers guided tours to discover the exhibition We are ForestIn partnership with Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain. The exhibition delves into the aesthetic and political vision of the forest as an egalitarian multiverse of living peoples and explores the allegory of a possible world beyond our anthropocentrism.

After having explored the many forests of the world with a guided tour of the exhibition We are Forest, through the Manto di leaves laboratory – curated by Arianna Giorgia Bonazzi e Isabella Musacchia – children will be asked to recognize and find different plants among the leaves of a colorful carpet, in a challenge of observation and speed.
