A special preview for the city

The festival swill open with a special free preview for the city on Saturday 9 November (at 15.00 pm / 17.30 pm / 18.30 pm) at the Elnòs Shopping Centre with Love pong, a performance by Silvia Mercuriali, a Milanese artist who has lived and worked in London since 2000.

Davide D'Antonio, Artistic Director Wonderland Festival: "Wonderland 24 has been a big challenge, an important productive effort involving many local, national and international institutions and we are happy to be able to propose a unique and inclusive program that aims to involve all citizens from the most demanding to those who have never experienced theater, dance, music and cinema. Wonderland, in fact, is not like going to any theater but like immersing yourself in a multifaceted party where you can meet artists, compare and have fun, precisely, experience"

Francesca Caruso, Councilor for Culture of the Lombardy Region: "Regione Lombardia strongly supports the Wonderland Festival, recognizing in this event a unique opportunity to enrich and enhance the cultural panorama of Brescia. With a program that includes dance, music and puppet theater, the event stands out for its commitment to actively involving citizens, creating spaces for dialogue and cultural exchange. Idra Teatro plays an important role in promoting a participatory culture capable of combining tradition and innovation and offering the public high-quality artistic experiences, deeply rooted in the territory but open to the new contemporary scene.to ".

Francesco Tomasini, City Councilor with responsibility for Cultural Activities of the Municipality of Brescia: "Also this year the Municipality of Brescia is pleased to support Wonderland Festival, an important event for the city and for art now in its twelfth edition. The constant commitment of the organizers, to make it increasingly multidisciplinary and interconnected, ensures a varied and high-level program that promotes a contemporary and popular idea of culture. For us too - as for IDRA Teatro - tradition, innovation, territory and internationalization are elements that must coexist and working with this vision can only bring positive results."

Francesca Bazoli, President of the Brescia Museums Foundation: "Fondazione Brescia Musei, as a body for the protection and enhancement of heritage, fully embraces the ICOM definition of a museum that places the themes of accessibility and inclusion at the center of its offering. This is also in a logic of intercultural integration, with particular attention to the management of the civic heritage that is entrusted to us in concession. The UNESCO corridor has represented a national benchmark as an urban transformation in the name of accessibility and it is particularly important that, in addition to the intervention to overcome physical barriers, actions such as the Open Your Arms Now show are implemented that bring, even at an immaterial and symbolic level, this concept of universal and transversal access to genders, ethnicity, disabilities for full and complete enhancement. Our gratitude to Fondazione Comunità Bresciana and Confartigianato Brescia for supporting the project."

Sandra Inverardi, Italian Union of the Blind and Partially Sighted, President of the Brescia Section: "As far as I'm concerned, I would like to underline how our association is increasingly involved in projects and initiatives in the territory and in various realities, and this fills us with pride. Accessibility and autonomous use of places and culture is a theme of fundamental importance for us and thanks to collaborations like this one we are able to carry forward our statutory purposes".

Cristiana Paladini, Centro Studi Socialis: "Participating in the Wonderland festival represents an important opportunity for the Centro Studi Socialis to share the results of a survey on the public and present the Virtual Cultural Spaces project. In a context in which the ways of living the cultural experience are being redefined, research, which focuses precisely on cultural fruition in the province of Brescia, can also play a fundamental role in theatrical experimentation, offering ideas to create new ways of involvement and foster an authentic dialogue between artists and spectators."
