La Spezia: “Flavours and Crafts” Confartigianato returns 24-25-26 November in Corso Cavour.
The event returns to La Spezia “Flavors & Crafts – Artisan Style” organized by Confartigianato which will feature the typical sweet and savory products of the area. The event has the patronage and contribution of the Liguria Region and the Municipality of La Spezia. From Friday 24 to Sunday 26 November, the historic center of the city will be pervaded by chocolate, sweets and local specialties. Over 40 stands of artisanal products that will encourage Christmas shopping. There are many initiatives: seminars and conferences, book presentations, cultural visits, show cooking and entertainment for the little ones.
“A now traditional event that kicks off the Christmas initiatives which will first and foremost be a joy for the palate – declares the Mayor of La Spezia Pierluigi Peracchini – an opportunity to taste the delicacies of the great artisans of our territory and to delve into local culinary traditions that have become famous all over the world. Many related events not to be missed including those scheduled at the Amedeo Lia Museum and the Seal Museum. I thank Confartigianato for the promotion and organization of this initiative which we are always very happy to support.”

Many initiatives are planned for a weekend full of events; off we go Friday 24 with the official inauguration of “Sapori & Mestieri” in the Confartigianato Media Area, a space that will be the beating heart of the entire initiative.
Many of the scheduled events will be staged here, such as the cooking shows of Saturday 25, from 10.30 am, of the students of the CIOFS and the Casini Hotel Institute, who will take turns presenting new sweet proposals.
At 15.00 pm we will be amazed by the evolution of new technologies also used in pastry making and we will see how with a 3D printer we can invent new imaginative proposals with Andrea Moscatelli of 3d Cyber and Matteo Menozzi of Spazio Base.
At 16.00 pm the award-winning writer of children's books Alessandra Cerretti will present her new book “Puma Nera and the old fisherman” to adults and children. At the end the author will teach the children to draw the “Black Feather” penguin.
At 17.00 pm there will be a press conference on the importance and trends of food and wine tourism in the Vast Area of the Gulf of Poets. Speakers: Hon. Maria Grazia Frijia, Councilor for Tourism and Deputy Mayor of the municipality of La Spezia, Lorenzo Viviani - Masaf consultant, Marco Lucchi, President of Coldiretti, Alessandro Ferrante, Vice President of CIA Liguria di Levante, Mirco Capellini, Azienda Agricola Luciano Capellini, Antonella Simone Confartigianato Spice.
At the same time at 15.00 pm "The Legend of Cocoa" will be on stage with an unmissable visit to the prestigious Seal Museum followed by the creation of a clay pintadera to be used in the decoration of fabrics. At the end a small chocolate tasting.
Sunday 26th of at 11.00 we will talk about food safety in catering but also in domestic users with Alessia Cagnoli, Confartigianato food counter and Vincenzo De Rosa ASL 5 SC Food Safety.
At 15.00 pm at the A. Lia Museum, the president of the Art and Nature tourist guides, Antonella Mariotti, will guide those present to visit the works of the Artisan Artists present in the museum.
At 15.00 pm in the Confartigianato space the photographic book “Abbandonati. Ghost places and towns in Liguria" Ed. Giacchè. The authors Ascosi Lasciti and Davide Calloni will be present.
At 15.30 pm another book from Ed. Giacchè in the presence of the author Nadia Sarah Martelli “The Story of Rici, fisherman from Monterosso”.
At 15.30 pm an interesting meeting with the new local company "Pesto Fiore" which will tell the origins of one of the most famous sauces in the world: pesto. Demonstration and practical tests for those who want to cement themselves with mortar and pestle.
At 16.30 pm the consultant of "Tramezzando", Elisa Cecchi, will fascinate the public with the story of one of the most famous and appreciated desserts in the world: Tiramisu. Followed by the inevitable tasting.
At 17.30pm Manuela Stampetta of the bakery-pastry shop of the same name will take us to rediscover the history and recipes of the desserts of our area and will delight the public with a very sweet tasting.
At the same time, from 15.30 pm in Largo Cafferata, the volunteers of the Italian Red Cross will entertain the children with entertainment and face painting. Unmissable for all three days, the AIL Christmas stars
Connected to the event, the initiatives related to the event are also restarting, such as "the receipt is worth twice" and the "a sweet showcase" contest.
