Will Stefano Massini and Luca Barbarossa to inaugurate the 4th edition of the La Spezia Estate Festival, That the 15 July to 17 August will transform the Piazza Europa arena into an open-air theatre.

As in the previous editions, bill focuses on diversification of shows, giving space to any kind of theatre: classic and modern, popular and comic, research or light, to satisfy different audiences.

The appointment and for Saturday 15 July at 21.30 with The truth, please, about love: as in Wystan Hugh Auden's poem that gives the show its title, so we try an investigation into what love is, beyond. Beyond clichés. Beyond sentimental tutorials, beyond the molasses of pre-packaged romances and beyond the infinite love narratives that have stratified in us from films, books and songs, making us hostages of models and scripts. Everything in love today appears already seen, already felt, already known. So let's try if nothing else to look for this truth.

La Spezia: in Piazza Europa "La verità, vi prego, sull'amore"

That's what they'll do Stefano Massini pop popularizer, scathing, ironic, surprising, investigator of daily stories and moods, sole author Italian in history to have received a Tony Award, the Oscar of the American theater and Luke Barbarossa, in their recital played by intertwining words and music on stage.

Stefano Massini will tell the love with unpublished texts accompanied by songs written for the occasion by Luke Barbarossa which will then give life to a unpublished albums. A unique show where the stories will intertwine with the songwriting to involve the audience in a journey, in a kaleidoscope of images, in a great game of stimuli, sensations, suggestions and sensitivity.

Love under the lens of the microscope, love in the dock, love on the analyst's couch, love on the orchestral score. The love that surrounds us, everywhere. Yet you don't really know what it is. The truth, please, about love.
