The Lombardy Region rewards Inter, Atalanta, Como, Mantova and Alcione
It took place in the council chamber of Palazzo Pirelli the awards ceremony for Lombardy's professional teams, Inter, Atalanta, Como, Mantua and Alcione Milano, who stood out in the football season that has just ended.
They attended, among others, the president of the regional council of Lombardy Federico Romani and the vice-president of the regional council Marco Alparone.
To collect the awards, the leaders and top representatives of the awarded sports clubs: for Inter il president Giuseppe Marotta; for theAtalanta il direttore generale Umberto Marino; for the Como the managing director Francesco Terrazzani with coach Osian Roberts; for the Alcyone Milano i president Marcello Montini and Julius Gallazzi. For Mantua scouting manager Vincenzo Talluto collected the award.
"Today in the Lombard house - said Vice President Alparone - we recognize a path made of sacrifice, commitment and planning but also of a lot of talent. The awarded teams teach precisely this, not only the victory of a trophy but the effort that goes into achieving it. A moment, from this perspective, especially important for our young people. Today we celebrate great renowned teams, but also Alcione which represents a significant model, and has always made the youth sector a point of reference for the growth path of Milanese kids in particular. His is a beautiful story of sports education, a story of young people."
"Determination and perseverance - underlined the president of the regional council Federico Romani - are the 'weapons' deployed by Inter, Atalanta, Como, Mantova and Alcione because you can only get to the end if you have a clear objective in mind. This is the best message these teams have given us this season. Playing sports means training for life: sport is sacrifice and respect for the rules, passion and determination. It is an ethical and social path in which families and sports clubs, especially grassroots ones, must feel personally involved, and in which professional clubs, due to their importance and visibility, play a fundamental role that they cannot and must never avoid”.
