The “Play District” project was presented today at Palazzo Zanca in Messina.
The Community Civic Space is also starting up in Messina, based at the Arturo Sciavicco rugby stadium.
Today, Friday 3 November, at 16.30pm, in the Hall of Flags in Palazzo Zanca, in the presence of the mayor Federico Basile, a press conference will be held for the presentation of the “Play District” project, in which thesports councilor Massimo Finocchiaro and Coni trustee Francesco Giorgio.
The initiative, sponsored by the Municipality of Messina and promoted by Messina Rugby, is financed by Sport e Salute SpA through the Department for Youth Policies and the Universal Civil Service of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, with the aim of starting a Community Civic Space. In Messina the space, Play District, will have its headquarters at the "Arturo Sciavicco" rugby stadium for the implementation of sporting and social activities aimed at young people aged 14 to 34, in order to help create opportunities for aggregation, integration, orientation and inclusion, carried out by ASD/SSD, in partnership with other public and private entities and organisations.
All 'Representatives of the partner associations will take part in the meeting such as, Messina Social City, the subsidiary of the Municipality of Messina which deals with social-welfare and socio-educational services; House Noemi – Daughters of Divine Zeal; Family home “The Tree of Life” IPAB S. Elena; USSM – Social Services Juvenile Court Messina; Parish of S. Maria dei Miracoli Sperone; Islamic Cultural Center of Messina; ASDV Philippine Fraternity; Comprehensive Institute N.19 “Evemero da Messina”; “La Linea Curva” Association (People and Autism); CSEN – Messina Provincial Delegation; FIR – Italian Rugby Federation – Sicily Regional Committee; Falcone ASD comprehensive institute – Cricket; Progetto Sperone voluntary association; and Legambiente Messina.
