The new theater season of Chianciano Terme: “Leave your Mark” at the Teatro Caos.

Nine subscription shows, two non-subscription shows and a special event, including three absolute national previews, two original productions, an artistic residence, established artists and emerging young artists, to offer an engaging and quality, original and innovative program.

Is called 'Leave your mark' is the new program for the 2024/2025 season of the Teatro Caos in Chianciano Terme organized by Lst-Teatro and starting on Saturday 9 November. An idea of theatre as a “social fact”, sharing and advocating the Gramscian conception of a theatre that begins first and ends later, that is, that does not end in the sole moment of the spectacular event that one attends, but rather, that never ends, but is a continuous and lasting opportunity for meeting and reflection; a Theatre of always.

Here then is the proposal of being able to meet the artists before each show, sharing with them the story and the experience of artistic creation, not only through the performance, but also through a pleasant collective and convivial ritual to be consumed together in the new Ridotto of the Teatro Caos.

"We would like to leave our mark because we strongly oppose that theatre is only a matter of counting tickets, a market commodity. - highlights the artistic director Manfredi Rutelli. - We want a theatre as an experience and we would like an audience aware of wanting to do it. It is not just about selling tickets, but about thinking, together, about the city, society and the world".

"It leaves its mark as a function of cultural growth, of broadening horizons, of developing a critical conscience, of raising awareness of beauty, which theatrical activity has within a community. - he adds Michele Micheli, Councilor for Cultural Policies of the Municipality of Chianciano Terme. - For this reason the artistic direction proposes choices that stimulate comparison, reflection, doubt, intelligent entertainment, that instil pleasure and preemptively remove ground from the possible drift of incivility of individuals, society, politics.".
