The “Golden Smartphone” award goes to the Municipality of Campobasso.

Important result for the Municipality of Campobasso in the 2023 edition of “Golden Smartphone”, an award dedicated to the best digital communication experiences of public bodies and companies. The regional capital won the prize in the section "Local societies" thanks to the project “Cte – Home of Emerging Technologies”; in the same section, the Municipality of Genoa and Roma Capitale also received awards.

The mayor of Campobasso, Paula Felix, clearly satisfied with the outcome: «This result makes us particularly proud because it enhances the commitment that our Administration has made in communicating towards citizens and towards all subjects who in some way interface with the municipal body; informing in a correct, punctual and widespread manner on the activities that the Municipality carries out is an objective that we have set ourselves since day one and we are doing so by exploiting all the channels at our disposal, not least that offered by digital communication with all its advantages" .

«It's a great satisfaction then - specifies Paula Felix - receive the award for the House of Emerging Technologies, a project on which we are placing a lot of emphasis, beneficiary of a loan of 11 million euros with the aim of valorising research and experimentation projects and facilitating technological transfer towards small and medium-sized enterprises and the aim of giving new concrete job opportunities to young people and to Molise professionals. And the fact of having shared the award with two more structured and complex entities, such as the Municipality of Genoa and Roma Capitale, contributes to enhancing this result even more".

The event is organized by PA Social, an association that brings together local authorities, public companies, university institutes and other entities operating in the Public Administration and which also includes the Municipality of Campobasso; The first global network of its kind, it operates in the field of digital communication and information, mainly dealing with dissemination, training, publications and research. PA Social, as specified in the association's statute, has the objective of continuing and strengthening the growth path of a national new communication network. The winner of the Golden Smartphone and those of the special thematic prizes are established at the end of a process that passes through the examination and vote of a popular jury and a scientific jury of experts.
