The celebrations of the centenary of Arezzo football continue: Cosmilandia arrives, the first event of a series organized by Orgoglio Amaranto
A program of events to continue celebrating the 100 years of the Prancing Horse. With this spirit Orgoglio Amaranto, with the patronage of the Municipality of Arezzo, organizes “History is here, a 100 year long game,” evenings dedicated to emblematic moments of the football and social life of the Arezzo Sports Union, with the protagonists of the various seasons who will be in the city to relive the emotions and climate of the locker room together with the amaranth fans.
“Football as culture, customs and memories – underlined the councilor Federico Scapecchi – in an eagerly awaited and evocative initiative. I thank the Guido d'Arezzo Foundation for having made two theaters available and Orgoglio Amaranto with which we confirm a beautiful collaboration in the name of the combination of support and sense of belonging".
“We decided to embark on a journey – declared the president of Orgoglio Amaranto Daniele Farsetti – to dignify the centenary, perhaps reveal some behind-the-scenes anecdotes and create engaging situations. Two locations have been chosen for monthly events: the Pietro Aretino Theater and the Mecenate Theatre".
Enrica Cherici, vice president of Orgoglio Amaranto: “with Andrea Avato we will retrace the events that go from Cosmi to more recent years to pass on the knowledge of the Arezzo of the past to the new generations, those who frequent the curve today”. It starts off in style on Monday 11 December at the Pietro Aretino Theater in via Bicchieraia and the title of the event already says it all: “Cosmilandia”. From 21pm, Andrea Avato will lead the guests and the public in an exciting chat about the two promotions of Arezzo which saw Serse Cosmi as the driving force. Together with the coach there will be many of his boys, from Balducci to Nofri and Di Loreto, from Bifini to Semplici, just to name a few.
The program will continue by bringing players and managers on stage to tell their amaranth-tinged lives in an unprecedented way. So as to recompose the great puzzle of a 100 year long match. The evenings are free admission.
