The 7th edition of "Fitwalking for AIL" was presented, the non-competitive walk for blood cancer research

The 7th edition of "Fitwalking for AIL" was presented, the non-competitive walk for blood cancer research scheduled for September 24th between Genoa, Savona and Imperia.

The seventh edition of "FitWalking for AIL" was presented this morning in the Liguria Region building, the non-competitive solidarity walk created to celebrate World Myeloid Leukemia Day with the aim of raising funds to support the projects of the Italian Leukemia Association (AIL) for research and assistance to patients with blood cancers and their families.
The event, organized throughout the national territory in 24 cities, in Liguria will be held in Genoa, Savona and Imperia on September 24th from 10 to 12. The Ligurian stages of "FitWalking for AIL" are organized by AIL Genova Savona Imperia Odv with the support of My Trekking APS, the collaboration of the Municipality of Imperia and SportUp Savona 2023 and the patronage of the Liguria Region, the Municipality of Genoa, the Municipality of Savona and the State Police.

The entire proceeds will be donated to the activities of AIL Genova Savona Imperia Odv, and in particular for TOD (Hospitalized Home Transplant), the project to treat patients undergoing autotransplantation at home, carried out with the support of the Liguria Region and the collaboration of the Hematology and Transplant Center unit of the IRCCS San Martino Polyclinic Hospital in Genoa.

The routes in Genoa, Savona and Imperia are 4 km each and suitable for everyone. The start of the walk is set at the Nervi Parks (Genoa), in Piazza Sisto IV (Savona) and from the Aicardi dock (Imperia). The registration fee is 10 euros per person. All registered participants will be provided with a goodie bag with bag, event t-shirt and gadgets provided by the sponsors.
