Terni"Tea at Palazzo Santacroce”, great success of the first meeting to introduce tea tasting.
The first event of the new cultural initiative of the Tacconi-Ottelio Group took place in San Gemini (Terni), to liven up the area and its peculiarities. This is "Tea at Palazzo Santacroce": during a series of meetings - which will take place on Saturday and Sunday - guests will be able to get closer to the refinement of tea tasting.
At the meeting on January 22nd – which was a great success with the public – was attended by Antonello Biancalana, tea taster and expert, and founder of the DiWineTaste website. “It is a rediscovery of our senses, which we are unaccustomed to using, when in reality they are vectors of emotions to be strengthened – states Biancalana – Both tea and wine are useful in this sense, because they need a different emotional understanding to be discovered. Tea is a drink that has over 5000 years of history, and embraces the youth of every era."
During the event we talked about English Afternoon Tea, whose tradition began in the mid-800th century, and which was born as a reason for aggregation: “To make people feel good. So our appointments are a rediscovery of taste, to get together in front of a cup of tea, enjoying a convivial moment".
After the presentation, guests were able to enjoy different types of pure black teas, with pure leaves – then filtered – and an infusion lasting three to five minutes. The tasting takes place in porcelain cups, which emphasize the aromas of the drink.
The other meetings will reveal new tastings on this drink, born in China in the 1610rd century and imported into Europe in XNUMX by the Portuguese.
“Tea at Palazzo Santacroce” it is organized by the group Tacconi-Ottelio, And from Grand Hotel San Gemini. Meanwhile, in the rooms of the Fresco Gallery of the Grand Hotel San Gemini, the exhibition dedicated to the painter continues Piero Gauli, which will remain open to the public until January 31st.
The cost of the tasting is 15 Euros per person (with small pastries and sandwich mignon), and reservations are recommended.
