Summer in Varese 2024: over 150 events scheduled in the city from June to September.

There are over 150 events that will enliven the Varese summer from June to September. From the center to the neighbourhoods, from the Sacro Monte to the lake, there are many opportunities suitable for all ages, with concerts, theatre, open-air cinema, gastronomic offers, visits to discover the artistic beauties of the city, sports, exhibitions and more.

To discover all the events scheduled, the Municipality of Varese has put online a booklet that illustrates day by day all the summer proposals that will take place in Varese.

“The Varese summer offers hundreds of events, from the center to the Sacro Monte to the neighborhoods – says deputy mayor Ivana Perusin – A way to make Varese even more attractive both for those who stay in the city and for the many tourists who are increasingly numerous in the area every year, also thanks to the major sporting and cultural events”.

“There are many and varied cultural proposals in Varese from June to September – says the Councilor for Culture Enzo Laforgia – thanks to a range of initiatives that allow us to enhance and promote some of the most significant places in our city, combining art, music, history, entertainment and beauty. Also this year, the Department of Culture supports AD Management in the creation of the Varese Summer Festival, with a space also dedicated to city cultural operators”.

It starts in June with the launch of important events, such as the third edition of Know Your Heritage, the initiative created by the Municipality of Varese with a program of visits and itineraries to learn about the beauties of the art and history of the city. There are also many events of Exterior Night, the open-air cinema festival that brings the Estensi Gardens to life every summer with the best films of the season.

Among the new features, there is the new one gastronomic review Tasteful itineraries, to learn about and taste traditional products and dishes. Courtyard Stories then returns, with music and stories between courtyards and courtyards.

In July, there will be an appointment with the initiative Tra Sacro e Sacro Monte, which will bring actors and shows to the Via Sacra of the UNESCO heritage village, while at the Giardini Estensi there will be concerts and shows of the Varese Summer Festival.

Don't miss the Music in hidden places event, with aperitifs and DJ sets in some of the most beautiful places in the area, while there are various events in contemporary art spaces, such as Villa Panza and the Morandini Foundation. There are also many musical events, from classical music to soul.

On August 15th, the traditional Mountain festival organized by the Alpini takes place, while in September Sant'Ambrogio in strada returns, the festival that combines live music, good food and craftsmanship. But there are still many other proposals in the city, for a summer truly worth experiencing.
