La Spezia: the seventh of the “Stasera al Museo!” events is underway.

The seventh of the events of Tonight at the Museum! The calendar of summer events promoted by all the Civic Museums of La Spezia which every Friday and Saturday organize workshops, concerts, events in English, thematic guided tours to bring the museum spaces to life on the occasion of the extraordinary summer openings.
Saturday 26 August at 18.30pm at the Palazzina delle Arti there will be a guided tour of the permanent exhibition "The city that changes. La Spezia from Agostino Fossati to the present day”.

The exhibition, inaugurated in December 2021, is the result of a project that made it possible to adapt the exhibition spaces of the Palazzina delle Arti with the aim of permanently displaying the works of Agostino Fossati, part of the Civic Art Collections, and here visual testimony of the transformations that involved the city of La Spezia in the mid-XNUMXth century, coinciding with the construction of the Maritime Military Arsenal.

Benefiting from an impactful installation, the exhibition aims to facilitate the understanding of these changes through a comparison between the past - represented by the pictorial works and the historical map of the Gulf - and the current time - documented through shots taken by Roberto Celi (ObiettivoSpezia), an expert in local photography, after a precise search for the same "shooting point" used at the time by the painter.
The cost of participation is 5 €.
