La Spezia: the new singing competition for children 'Lo Sprugolino d'Oro' arrives

La Spezia, the Music Factory music school with the patronage of the Municipality of La Spezia, in collaboration with the Tandem, Musicando and Cantagiro associations, is organizing a new singing competition for children and teenagers, called "Lo Sprugolino d'Oro", reserved for competitors between 5 and 15 years of age and whose participation is completely free. The project was born from an idea by Marco Tarabugi, in agreement with Councilor Daniela Carli and Citta dei Bambini.
New to the competition - as already announced before last summer - is the possibility for children and teenagers to also be able to perform together with their family members in the Sprugolino d'Oro Family category: mum, dad, grandfather or grandmother, or maybe an aunt or cousin.
The competition is divided into two categories:

The Single category, the 'classical' one, involves the children performing songs individually or in pairs or in groups, both published and unpublished, also with the use of musical instruments (piano, guitar, keyboard, violin) with a maximum duration of 4 minutes, both in Italian and in a foreign language.

Then, here is the absolute novelty, the Sprugolino d'Oro Family category, in which the participation of young artists will be possible in combination with a parent, grandparent, family member in general, of both published and unpublished songs, with a maximum duration of 4 minutes both in Italian and in a foreign language. They will be able to participate one/two family members for each child. During the performance the competitors must sing/play live, accompanied only by the backing track.
The preliminary phase will expire Sunday March 31, while the final is scheduled for the day Saturday 13 April in the Dante Room.

The performances, in video format, in order to be selected and enter the shortlist of finalists who will perform in Sala Dante, they must therefore be sent no later than March 31st to the following email address: losprugolinodoro@gmail.com or via Whatsapp on 347 4018122 requesting the registration form. Upon sending the material, participants will receive a confirmation email.

The best performances, both for the single category and for the Family category, will be reported directly to the Artistic Direction of "Io Canto" in the Mediaset schedule

The jury will be composed by exponents of the local musical world: with the artistic director and president of the Jury, Marco Magi (journalist and musician), the councilor Daniela Carli (representing the Municipality), Gabriella Crovara (municipal councilor), Marco Tarabugi (creator of the competition) , Alessio Boni (musician, representing Cantagiro), Davide Micoli (musician, music teacher), Susanna Varese (teacher) and Gianluca Capellazzi (journalist and publisher), Daniele Giorgi and Andrea Canini (representing the La Spezia associations).
Finally, the most interesting part, that of awards (everyone will be given a certificate of participation), with focus on the podium. The first place winners in the two categories, in addition to the cup, will get a wonderful photo book offered by PTZ Photo lab; in particular, however, the winner of the Single section will gain direct access to the national semi-finals of the Cantagiro (subject to registration, thus bypassing the regional selections); for the second and third an artistic cup.
