Second anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The initiatives scheduled tomorrow at the Civic Museum of Bari.
Two years after the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, tomorrow, Saturday 24 February, the Ukrainian flag will be displayed on the facade of the City Palace as a sign of solidarity with the Ukrainian population.
Always tomorrow, at 11 am, at civic Museum, the screening of the documentary “20 Days in Mariupol”, by the Ukrainian journalist, will take place e pulitzer prize, Mstyslav Chernov. The initiative, sponsored by the Municipality of Bari and promoted by the "United for Ukraine" association, will be attended by deputy mayor Eugenio Di Sciascio and the councillor at Cultures Ines Pierucci.
The reportage, nominated for an Oscar and winner of an award BAFTA, documents the beginning of the invasion of Ukrainian territory, bombings, severe destruction and atrocities against civilians in the city of Mariupol. At the end of the screening there will be a debate with witnesses of the events, people who fled Mariupol due to the war, and some of the volunteers who have supported Ukrainian citizens since the beginning of the conflict will be rewarded.
