The Ruffano Comprehensive Institute welcomes the MIUR project to raise awareness among young people on crucial issues such as bullying, cyberbullying and security, with the help of the Carabinieri.

In fact, the meetings organised by the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Lecce throughout the province, through meetings to raise awareness among young people on highly topical issues regarding phenomena of juvenile deviance.
Gender violence, road safety, fight against the consumption and spread of narcotic and/or alcoholic substances but above all, almost “trendy” crimes among the youngest such as bullying and cyberbullying. These are the issues for which the Carabinieri have always been at the forefront in raising awareness among the little ones about legality.
The goal, therefore, is to educate students to the exercise of democracy, within the limits and in compliance with inviolable rights, inalienable duties and common rules shared as members of a society.
The project, which was launched to benefit students of all levels of schools, was also welcomed from the Ruffano Comprehensive Institute where, on the morning of Friday 25th, a meeting was held which saw the participation, in addition to of the teaching and student staff, including Captain Aldo Gargiulo, Commander of the Casarano Carabinieri Company, accompanied by Lieutenant Sergio Piccione, Commander of the Ruffano Carabinieri Station.
During the event, full of ideas and reflections to increase the culture of legality in young people
and awareness of the importance of safety, the Carabinieri have explored the concept of “legality”, understood as the knowledge and respect of all those rules, even the most basic ones, that regulate civil life in modern society.
In a simple but effective way, also through the narration of real events, the crucial points of all those intentional behaviors of direct and indirect bullying that are most frequent among young people were illustrated to the students, which worsen when the incorrect use of social media comes into play. The students participated with great interest, contributing enthusiastically to animate the debate and to ask many questions on the topics addressed.
The morning has ended with a moment of reflection, during which the military personnel of the Arma recommended to the kids a more aware and careful use of the internet which is frequently used without adequate knowledge of the risks linked to the incorrect use of electronic devices and social networks, also ignoring the legal consequences for those who commit acts of bullying. cyberbullying.
