In Rome, the second edition of the project, promoted by FADOI and Carabinieri, includes the planting of trees to promote health and sustainability, with the participation of the Minister of Health.
Rome, the initiative “A Tree for Health” doubles: on October 29th in 30 Italian hospitals.
Today 29 October 2024 at 9.30 am at the Great Hall of the Isola Tiberina Hospital – Gemelli Isola in Rome the second edition of the national project 'A Tree for Health' will be presented.
The initiative, which also includes the participation of of the Minister of Health, Orazio Schillaci, is carried out by FADOI, the Scientific Society of Internal Medicine, in collaboration with the Carabinieri of the Biodiversity Protection Command, and includes a further donation and planting of thirty young trees in Italian hospitals by the Carabinieri for 2024.
The initiative falls within the scope of the project “A tree for the future” created by the Carabinieri Command for the Protection of Biodiversity in collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment.
Each plant can be geolocalized by photographing a special tag and it will be possible to follow its growth on a website, also monitoring in real time the carbon dioxide (CO2) savings.
They will participate in the press conference Daniele Piacentini, General Director of the Isola Tiberina Gemelli Isola Hospital, Francesco Dentali, National President of FADOI, Dario Manfellotto, President of the FADOI Foundation, Division General Antonio Danilo Mostacchi Commander of the Carabinieri for the Protection of Biodiversity and as a testimonial the App. Sc. Luigi Busà, Karate Champion and Gold Medalist at the 2020 Olympics. In addition, during the event, young trees will be donated to two school groups to raise awareness among children about environmental protection education.
