Liguria Region at the Meeting for Friendship among Peoples welcomes visitors in “Piazza Liguria”.
The event, which has the title of this 45th edition "If we are not in search of the essential, then what are we looking for?", is one of the most relevant cultural festivals at an international level, an event that attracts prominent figures and visitors from every corner of the world, with an average of 800 thousand visitors a year, numbers that make it one of the most attended cultural fairs in Italy.

RIMINI. Italo Calvino, Fabrizio De André, Tedua and many others. Liguria chooses one hundred of its most illustrious personalities to present themselves at the Meeting for Friendship among Peoples currently underway at the Rimini Fair and to promote the landscape, food and wine and culture.
Until the 25 August Liguria Region welcomes visitors in “Piazza Liguria”, a 150 square meter exhibition space designed as an oasis of relaxation, where the natural and cultural beauties of Liguria are celebrated in all their nuances.
The Liguria Region will also participate in the panel entitled "Cultural heritage and the rebirth of villages", scheduled for Sunday 25 August at 17pm in the Conai Hall. At the center of the meeting were strategies and planning to protect and enhance the villages of the various territorial realities.
Inside the "Square", visitors can enjoy a tree-lined space that offers an overview of the most evocative views of the region's beaches, villages and parks.
The external panels, made by the artist Jean Blanchaert, instead depict approx 100 emblematic characters of Ligurian culture, from poets such as Eugenio Montale to contemporary figures such as Tedua, passing through icons such as Italo Calvino and Fabrizio De André. Each character is accompanied by representative quotes, in a continuous visual and conceptual dialogue between past and present.
The work of the Liguria Region to promote the territory continues, enhancing its naturalistic, cultural, historical and food and wine excellences. The Meeting represents a strategic platform to consolidate Liguria's position on the national and international market, promoting the competitiveness of our tourist destinations and their attractiveness to a broad audience that also includes important opinion leaders and influencers.
