Reggio Calabria, the flower festival arrives on Corso Garibaldi

They will leave on May 31st at 8 in the morning the preparation work for the Reggio Calabria flower festival, an initiative promoted by the municipal administration of Reggio Calabria and whose key words are contained in peace, beauty and identity. It will be Corso Garibaldi, in the stretch between Piazza Italia and Piazza Duomo, to house the paintings (eight measuring 6×4 m and two circular) made with mixed media.

The conclusion of the flower display will be Sunday 2 June, in correspondence of the Corpus Domini holiday. «The understanding - the municipal administration reports - is to respect the tradition that sees the flower display created on the occasion of the Catholic solemnity of Corpus Domini, which celebrates the sacrament of the Eucharist. This is why the culminating and final moment will be precisely that of the procession which will be held on Sunday 2 June".

The event, conceived and coordinated by the councilor of the Productive City, Marisa Lanucara, will see the active participation of 30 students of the ITE “Piria-Ferraris-Da Empoli”.
