Puglia Wine Festival: from 25th to 27th October, a journey through the flavours of autumn

Three evenings entirely dedicated to the nectar of Puglia, which combine the love of wine with the food and wine excellence of the area and with folklore, through a perfect mix of itinerant shows, traditional music, art and culture. And also meetings, conferences and promotion of the territory, with guided visits to the historical monuments of a city that for the occasion will present itself to the public dressed in the colors of autumn. These are all the ingredients of the 5th edition of the Puglia Wine Festival, organized and promoted by the social promotion association SensAzioni del Sud and which, after the extraordinary success of the four previous editions, returns in Rutigliano from 25th to 27th October 2024.

A true Festival of wine and flavors of Puglia, promoted and supported by the Municipality of Rutigliano and which aims to make known the beauties of the territory starting from its food and wine excellences, through the tasting of wines and typical dishes, within an atmosphere capable of telling beauty: from Primitivo to Negramaro passing through Novello, Puglia Wine Festival offers a sensory journey in the company of selected wineries from Puglia, which will pair up, with their own glasses, to the tasting of typical traditional dishes, reworked by chefs from all over Puglia and enjoyed in the suggestive Piazza XX Settembre and along the streets of the historic center of Rutigliano.

Not just food and wine, however, for an event that makes hospitality and territorial promotion its trademark: the three evenings will in fact be enriched by guided tours of sites and monuments of tourist interest such as Norman Tower, the Historic Center and the Whistle Museum; and again from the art show entitled "Chromatic Intoxications” curated by the cultural association Contaminazioni d'Arte, from photographic exhibitions "My Hades"and "Aiir, N'sterz, Diaterz”By Joseph Moccia, from the discovery of the Grano Buono di Rutigliano by the Portanuova Association, from the meeting entitled “Decant me"of Agnes of Noia e Teresa Garofalo, from the stands of the Artisan and Hobbyist Market.

And more music and entertainment with the illusionism show of Luciano DeLucia and with mechanical Circus in a Suitcase, the traditional music and dance of Puglia Macaroni Show, from the Popular Dertum and Pizzica Tour edited by Joseph Fanelli e Rosanna Ottoman.

Great anticipation, then, for the concerts of the three evenings: guests of the opening day, at 21, in Viale della Repubblica, will be the Beatska, a band from Puglia famous for its ska, rocksteady, beat and rock re-arrangements of the great Italian classics of the 60s, but also of more recent hits. A show with an exhilarating atmosphere, with riffs that suddenly propose soundtracks of very famous films, TV series and cartoons, for a live show of pure and unbridled fun. Saturday 26 October at 21pm it will be the turn of the Falling, a Salento group composed of five musicians and two couples of dancers, who renew a musical tradition steeped in passion for the popular culture of Salento. A timeless musical experience, in which the history of the land that has its roots in classical Greece is narrated through the typical notes of Salento and the rhythm of tradition in their hands. To liven up the final evening, Sunday 27 October, at 21pm, it will instead be the Euphonic Band with its energetic mix of rhythm and harmony, emotion and happiness: a brand new sound for an exhilarating evening of fun and great music.

Therefore, deseasonalization of the tourist offer but above all opening the territory and our museums to those who come to visit us”.

They will be three unforgettable days where we will certainly be able to experience food and wine but also the beauty of our territory, our identity. We will pass through the clay, the whistle, the archaeological museum: everything open and ready to welcome all those who want to be part of this great celebration”.
