In the day of Wednesday 15 October, at the parish hall of San Nicolò in Portogruaro (VE), the State Police of Venice held a meeting on the topic of “Road Safety”, organized by the city's Parish Pastoral Council.
The meeting, attended by about seventy young people aged between 17 and 24, belonging to the parish groups of the neighbourhood community, to the Scout Groups of the Diocese of Concordia – Pordenone, as well as some representatives of groups from Concordia Sagittaria, Cinto Caomaggiore and the nearby Friuli Venezia Giulia, has allowed the staff of the Portogruaro Police Station and the Venice Traffic Police Section to delve into the topic of road traffic with the aim of promoting the culture of road safety among young people.
A moment to reflect and discuss the perception of young people of risks on the road, highlighting the need to live more carefully and responsibly.
Among those present, an important contribution was also made by Medical director of the Anesthesia and Resuscitation department of Pordenone, who shared his professional testimony as a first responder, inviting young people to reflect on the consequences of road accidents that increasingly often have a heavy impact on personal health.
The It also allowed State Police operators to provide technical information, including through video contributions and images from the Highway Police, in order to spread an informed approach to road traffic.
