A conference with industry experts

Pizzoferrato, a preview of the food event “PataZafFest” is arriving on December 28th.

 

Is called “Waiting for PataZafFest” and is the anticipation of a planned event a Pizzoferrato in the next one Spring Summer and which will be dedicated to the valorisation of red potato and the saffron, two of the proud products of Pizzoferrato (Ch). The first appointment is for the next one 28th Decemberin Common in Pizzoferrato where a conference will take place with experts and the National Park of Majella and “d'Annunzio” University di Chieti-Pescara on saffron, the red gold ofAbruzzo, which in the village of Sangro Valley have been cultivating for some years with a new experimental method. The initiative is promoted by the Municipality, and in particular by the mayor Palmerino Fagnilli, and by the association “NaturArte”, whose point of reference is Massimiliano Brutti, who is taking care of the various aspects of the event. Which will involve, from December 28th to 6st January, also several local farmhouses and restaurants, which will prepare a saffron-based dish. Conference, therefore, on December 28th in the conference room City Council, from 9.30. There will be institutional greetings and then a dive into the precious heart of saffron.

Le “Basic information for opening a saffron cultivation company” will be given by Mariangela Andreoli, accountant and statutory auditor. Franco Ballone, president PAZ (Associated Producers Zafferano) will talk about “The properties of Pizzoferrato saffron: its history, cultivation methods and use of saffron in contemporary cuisine".
