Pesaro, confirmed for the 7th consecutive year as the city of cycling

Pesaro confirms itself as a city of cycling. Yesterday, Thursday 11 July, Mayor Andrea Biancani and the Councilor with responsibility for Mobility and Bicipolitana Sara Mengucci they received the yellow flag of Fiab  (Italian Environment and Bicycle Federation).

«Proud to confirm the maximum score of 5 bike-smile for the seventh consecutive year - they comment –. We are a municipality that has always invested in the promotion of sustainable mobility and the creation of cycle paths. The Bicipolitana is our well-being infrastructure, initially created to connect the different neighborhoods to the center and the sea, over the years it has transformed into a strategic network of connections, which improves the environment, safety and quality of life of citizens" .

ComuniCiclabili is the initiative of the Italian Environment and Bicycle Federation, that the 2017 awards bicycle-friendly cities, evaluating it and certifying its commitment to promoting cycling as a model of sustainable mobility.

«In our city, there are thousands of Pesaro residents who use bicycles every day to get around, whether they are workers, students or pensioners. An intelligent choice, with zero impact on the environment, economical, fast. A vision that Pesaro will continue to carry forward in the future, encouraging the use of two wheels also through additional services to citizens such as: interchange parking lots, bike sharing, improvement of cycle paths, bike hubs».
