Pesaro: Inauguration of the exhibition “Pesaro between reality and dream” at the Galleria Rossini.

A new proposal for the Pesaro 2024 autumn calendar. Saturday 30 November at 17pm, in the Rossini Gallery in via Rossini 38 'Pesaro between reality and dream', the exhibition by Luciano Dolcini (photographer) and Paolo Del Signore (painter) curated by Cecilia Casadei, has opened: a passionate tribute by the two local artists to the Capital of Culture. Created under the patronage of the Municipality of Pesaro/Department of Culture in collaboration with Pesaro Musei, main sponsor WIDER Yachts, the exhibition will be open until December 15th.

A salient feature of photography is its infinite reproducibility, a peculiarity that becomes a source of worry for the photographer when he cannot create a unique and unrepeatable work: This is where the exhibition project by Luciano Dolcini and Paolo Del Signore – long-time friends – was born, the result of a long reflection and conceived for Pesaro 2024. The public will be able to admire 22 large-format horizontal photographs (100 x 70 cm) that explore and narrate Pesaro 2024 – Capital of Italian culture; many of these were taken by Luciano Dolcini during the many demonstrations organized by the city administration.

Photographs where motion, out of focus, silhouettes and colour are used to break out of the banal everyday and take on a dreamlike vision. Subsequently Paolo Del Signore, painter and set designer, inserted into the photography, with extreme delicacy, the graphic and pictorial symbols that characterize his production. These are therefore revisited photographs that give life to unique works created by four hands for a surprising result.

The press conference was attended by: the mayor of Pesaro Andrea Biancani, the artists Luciano Dolcini and Paolo Del Signore, Stefano Diotallevi of WIDER Yachts who financed the creation of the exhibition.

For the mayor Andrea Biancani, the exhibition by Luciano Dolcini and Paolo Del Signore is an event that enriches the autumn calendar of the year as Capital of Culture in full harmony with the values ​​of the Pesaro 2024 planning process: two artists from a territory rich in creativity – one a photographer, the other a painter – join together to give shape to our city between reality and dream; therefore, a common artistic exercise to share with the community their idea of ​​Pesaro.

Thus Luciano Sweets: 'imagining the city that doesn't exist, looking for it in the interweaving of desires and knowledge of its community', this is the incipit of Pesaro 2024 that has illuminated the creative path of this event exhibition. This is how four-handed works were born, where photography has lost its salient characteristic of infinite reproducibility to elevate itself to a unique and unrepeatable work. Special thanks to the sponsor – WIRED Yachts -, an important reality that gives prestige to the exhibition.

Has continued Paul of the Lord: the works created tell with photographic and pictorial techniques, visions, sensations of the city. A path where everyone will find their own narrative order; a set of sensations, of visions that meet to make the narration almost theatrical and sometimes surreal. Pesaro 2024 – Italian Capital of Culture is the ideal container for this “exhibition” that wants to tell/narrate the liveable, visitable “city”, where people tell stories, meet, dream.

He concluded Stefano Diotallevi: thank you for involving us, we always try to pay attention to this type of initiative in various sports, social or artistic fields as in this case, if we can we gladly give our contribution. I like to remember that there is always an affinity, a connection between our work and the activities that we sponsor, as for example in this case; in the exhibition from reality we go towards the dream and it is the opposite path to what we do with our yachts: because we imagine a dream to realize and then with the various technical skills we bring it to reality.

The exhibition aims to tell and celebrate “Pesaro between reality and dream” but also become a moment of meeting with the public because photography and painting, together for the occasion, 'live' only if looked at by the attentive and curious eye of the spectator. And just to be an opportunity to share with the city community, during the opening days there will be meetings with musicians, writers and poets. Furthermore, at the end of the exhibition a work created by Dolcini and Del Signore with a double signature will be donated to the city.

The exhibition It is made with the support of WIDER Yachts, a local company and international leader in the construction of catamarans and luxury yachts, at the forefront of technological research. The boats are equipped with hybrid engines with the possibility of sailing in ZEM (Zero Emission Mode).
