Pesaro celebrates “Schools that create culture” at the Teatro Sperimentale

On November 26 and 27, the Teatro Sperimentale in Pesaro will host “Schools that Make Culture,” an initiative that brings together schools, the municipal administration, and the #Responsabilità Network to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the Marconi School Musical and reflect on the role of schools as promoters of culture.

Pesaro celebrates “Schools that create culture” at the Teatro Sperimentale.

They are scheduled for Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th November, at the Teatro Sperimentale, two days together with “Schools that make culture” promoted by the Marconi High School and the Municipality of Pesaro, in collaboration with the #Responsabilità Network Provincial School Office of Pesaro and Urbino and with the support of the Mic and SIAE as part of the “Per Chi Crea” program.

«A great opportunity for students, teachers and the entire city – underlines the mayor Andrea Biancani -, to know how much of importance has been done by our institutes. Congratulations for the "plural" title that well underlines the will of Marconi not to be self-referential, but rather, to share and tell together with other schools, the virtuous educational and formative path that distinguishes our city. Congratulations also for having taken up the suggestion of creating a program outside of class time, this makes students responsible for their presence. Furthermore, not secondary, it gives the school world the opportunity to make all the people of Pesaro understand what the institutes are able to do and propose, not only for the didactic part but also, and above all, how they are able to make the kids grow and support them in the formation of critical thinking and their sociality».

The invitation to participate also arrives by the Councilor for Educational Policies Camilla Murgia: "Come to the Experimental together with your families; once you return home you will be able to treasure the themes discussed in this two-day event and continue to study them at home.» he emphasizes. «Thanks to all the institutes that in these months and in particular in this year of Pesaro 2024 have distinguished themselves for their great protagonism. This is a city that invests in young people through schools also during “different” moments, which go beyond standard lessons. We have thought several times about how to thank the teachers for what they have done, for the great human support that this territory is able to give. We have therefore decided to organize these two days to do so, to tell the excellent results achieved by all our schools and to spread how for us in first place there is truly a different school, which creates culture».

The final cultural event of the project “The Power of Music”, within the framework of SIAE “For those who create”, with free admission (limited places), promoted on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the “Marconi School Musical”, will have Vito Mancuso among the protagonists. The theologian will be on stage at the Teatro Sperimentale, Tuesday, November 26, at 21:XNUMX p.m., opening an evening that also includes: a play featuring the students' perspectives as protagonists, contrasted with those of the school; a musical performance on the piano accompanied by former Marconi students and a choir (opening and closing) composed of dozens of students. The evening will be broadcast live streaming on the Youtube channel of the Marconi high school and the Municipality of Pesaro.

Wednesday 27 November, the appointment continues, from 16.30 pm, at the Teatro Sperimentale, for “Schools Make Culture – Cinema and Students”. The afternoon, which has the patronage of the Pesaro International New Cinema Festival, will alternate the storytelling and screenings of successful projects implemented by the city’s schools: shows, workshops, doc-reality, staged readings and book presentations.

Marco De Carolis of the Scientific, Musical and Choreographic High School “G. Marconi” Pesaro, also on behalf of his fellow teachers and collaborators of the project, underlined how the event “Schools that make culture”, «is a moment to thank the institutes for the many projects done together as Rete #Responsabilità but also as work of the individual schools in the year of Pesaro Capitale. The idea was to invite a significant figure like the philosopher and theologian Mancuso who will talk about young people, hopes, educational passion. He will tell it inside a container that will also host the images of the projects realized in these 2 decades, including those of the Musical, which turns 20 to give back what we have received from our boys and girls and to offer two days of reflections on the “school that makes culture”».

Also taking part in the presentation was Alessandra Belloni, director of the Provincial School Office, who thanked the Municipal Administration for always being so close to the school institutions and for having offered, during the year as Capital, the opportunity for schools to be protagonists. When they are involved they always respond with great enthusiasm and quality. It underlines how they are not only users but also promoters of culture. As the Marconi high school will testify with these two days that represent a stage of a long journey started 20 years ago with the Marconi School Musical. On the 26th and 27thwill offer an experience that will reflect what girls and boys do during the year by analyzing deep and delicate themes, with projects from which boys come out strengthened.
