Preparations are underway for the X edition of “Candles under the stars”, ready to illuminate, tomorrow night of San Lorenzo, the 10km of seafront between Pesaro and Gabicce Mare, passing through the village of Gradara with the light of thousands of flames, with dinners on the sand, dress code strictly white, for a romantic and exciting show.

«We are ready to experience one of the most popular initiatives of the summer – underlines the mayor Andrea Biancani – highly appreciated by tourists and among the unmissable events for the people of Pesaro, who prepare in advance to fully experience the celebration and magic of “Candles under the stars”». Daniele Vimini, Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Tourism of Pesaro, underlines: «Happy to maintain the structure "spread" over the 3 Municipalities for this event born in the name of simplicity and charm given by the enchantment of candles, the beauty of our beaches and the allure of the white dress code. A winning formula maintained continuously."

The mayor and deputy mayor invite the people of Pesaro and tourists to "enjoy this romantic evening, on the beach and by candlelight, and then dance to the music of the Mirko Casadei Big Band, starting with the iconic "Romagna Mia" at 22.30pm at the Palla". Biancani and Vimini then address «Thanks to the Local Police who together with the police forces, together with the Civil Protection and the Municipal Operations Center will guarantee the safety and harmony of an event that takes place in 10km of coast».

The most magical event of the summer, will touch the 3 municipalities of the Marche region, with shows, ad hoc menus and lots of music, from dusk to dawn. The approximately 50 volunteers from the Pro Loco will deliver the kit with the official t-shirts of the event, the 20 quintals of candles and the reusable glass supports to the approximately 80 beach establishments involved and will set up the 1000 poles that will create a suggestive, unique, elegant installation that will celebrate the year of Pesaro 2024 in Piazzale della Libertà.

The same square will welcome, at 22.30pm, the Mirko Casadei Big Band concert which will celebrate the 70th anniversary of “Romagna Mia” with a special 12-piece formation wanted «for an evening that we have renamed “Gran ballo d'estate”. We will be in a place where people usually dance and we will do everything to make everyone present go wild – and fall in love» Casadei underlined.

In the year of Pesaro 2024, “Candles under the stars” is also the occasion for enhance the theme of sustainability: the ideal means of transport to reach the beaches of Pesaro is the bicycle thanks to the over 100km of Bicipolitana. The other possibility of making “green” and safe and comfortable journeys is to get on board the Free Shuttle made available to the Municipality, including the San Bartolo bus, which runs 6 trips a day from Pesaro to Gabicce Mare (also with a return journey; last trip is at 22 pm) and the Night bus which runs along Viale Trieste and Baia Flaminia and passes every 30 minutes (the last trip ends at 00:16 in Viale Vienna).

The event is promoted by the Municipalities of Pesaro, Gabicce Mare and Gradara and by the Pro Loco of Candelara and is organized by Confcommercio Marche Nord.

The village of Gradara will shine with infinite natural flames that will make the streets and the Rocca even more romantic and with a particular retro flavor. The state-owned Rocca will host the heart of the event, invited by Engineer Umberto Zanvettori, owner of the manor in the 20s, to a suggestive picnic with a total white or XNUMXs dress code; jazz music and drinks of the time with the possibility of booking a dinner to be consumed lying under the stars (curated by "Il Giardino Segreto").
