Perugia: “Open Barracks” on the occasion of the Day of National Unity and the Armed Forces

Il 4th November it is celebrated throughout Italy, the National Unity Day and Armed Forces Day. At Santa Giuliana complex located in Largo dell'Ospedale Militare 10, Home of the Army Foreign Language School, the public will be able to visit, from hours to 15.00 17.00, the cloister attributed to Matteo Giovannello da Gubbio called Gattapone (1376), which constitutes one of the highest examples of Cistercian architecture in Italy. In addition to the numerous frescoes, it will be possible to visit classrooms and educational laboratories used for language teaching.

The Financial Police of Perugia, from hours to 10.00 13.00, will open the doors of the Barracks of Via Palermo n. 84, headquarters of the Provincial Command, where an illustrative stand will be set up to illustrate the institutional mission of the Corps, which is celebrating the 250th Anniversary of its Foundation. Illustrative films of the institutional activity carried out in all operational sectors will be shown and it will be possible to visit operational vehicles, the various technical equipment used and attend a practical demonstration of the use of the "anti-drug" dog units of the Fiamme Gialle.
