PeM! Festival, Words and Music in Monferrato: among the guests also Manuel Agnelli, Flaco Biondini and Marinella Venegoni.

Manuel Agnelli, the symbolic name of Italian rock of the last 30 years; Flaco Biondini, singer, author and legendary guitarist of Francesco Guccini; Marinella Venegoni, leading lady in Italian music criticism and prestigious signature of La Stampa. They are the first guests of the 18th edition of “PeM! Festival – Words and Music in Monferrato”, the Piedmontese festival of meetings, stories and songs which from the end of August to the beginning of October will touch various locations, starting from San Salvatore Monferrato (leading municipality), with the artistic direction of Enrico Deregibus.
A unique event, the fulcrum of which for many years has been meetings/interviews with artists and intellectuals who, in the case of musicians, talk about themselves by interspersing the words with a musical part. All events have free entry and take place in Monferrato (Unesco site) and its surroundings, an hour or so from Turin, Milano and Genoa.
Manuel Agnelli will be on September 2nd at 18pm in Lu-Cuccaro Monferrato (in Cuccaro), Marinella Venegoni in San Salvatore on a date to be defined, while Flaco Biondini is expected on September 17th at 18pm (in collaboration with the “Sut la Cupola” festival ) in Camagna Monferrato, a municipality that is participating in the festival for the first year.

PeM! Festival, Parole e Musica in Monferrato, tra gli ospiti anche Manuel Agnelli, Flaco Biondini e Marinella Venegoni.

Last year PeM visited San Salvatore, Lu-Cuccaro, Balzola, Valenza, Mirabello (with the Country Sport Village), Alessandria, Pontestura and Rive for a total of 18 events.
The complete program for the 2023 edition, which will be announced in the coming months, promises to be equally dense. Meanwhile, the call for tenders for the second edition of the “PeM Music Contest”, the competition reserved for soloists and groups between 18 and 35 years old from the province of Alessandria, who are authors of their own pieces. The organization is from the Country Sport Village of Mirabello Monferrato with the collaboration of RadioGold. Notice and registration form are available on www.pemfestival.it/pem-contest. The registration is free, while the deadline is scheduled for July 10, 2023. The final will take place live in September during PeM.

Corrado Tagliabue, mayor of San Salvatore declares: “The PeM! Festival was born with a broad horizon, in San Salvatore Monferrato, on the hill of the Torre Paleologa, an extraordinary observation point over the entire Monferrato and the surrounding plain. It is a festival that broadens the horizon, which offers events in the most beautiful places in our territory, involves the Municipalities and their communities and brings the extraordinary beauty of the contamination between words and music, art and entertainment".
The festival has now become a point of reference in the Italian musical and cultural panorama, as demonstrated by the attention of the national press.
