Oristano, 2023 New Year's Eve show with Emis Killa.
For the 2023 New Year's Eve show, the choice of the Municipality of Oristano it fell on the well-known Lombard rapper who is busy on tour for the 10th anniversary of "L'Erba Cattiva", one of the albums that changed the history of Italian rap and definitively consecrating Emis Killa as one of the most appreciated and established artists. The tour marks Emis Killa's return to live performances, following the release of his latest single "Lucifer" in July.
“After two years marked by the pandemic we can finally greet the transition to the new year with a nice street party – announces the Mayor Massimiliano Sanna -. We will do everything to ensure a high-level show, in line with those of the main Sardinian cities and it could also be a good opportunity for tourist and economic promotion for the city and for our economic operators".
Emis Killa's live return
“We are focusing on a very successful artist, much appreciated by everyone, but especially by young people – says the Councilor for Culture and Entertainment Luca Faedda -. The tour marks Emis Killa's return to live performances, following the release of her latest single "Lucifero" in July. In recent weeks her tour has been sold out Milano. We want a nice party to leave behind the restrictions imposed by Covid and start 2023 in the best possible way. It will also be a great opportunity to promote the image of Oristano and we think that there will be many people who will choose our proposal and will come from all over Sardinia".
Compared to the parties of past years, the Municipality of Oristano is aiming for a flagship show in Piazza Eleonora and another with an outdoor disco whose program is still being defined. Emis Killa will bring to the stage her best hits and her songs contained in her 2012 platinum album, “L'erba bianca”, containing the hit “Parole di ice” (double platinum).
A tribute to 10 years of music
“All artists have a period they are particularly fond of – says Emis Killa introducing the show -. It's usually the turning point, when from one moment to the next your name ends up in everyone's mouth, even those who didn't know you before. My golden period is definitely 2012 and this album in particular brought me a lot of luck, consolidating me as an artist. Today ten years have passed, and we couldn't not pay any tribute. I chose to bring it back live where it all began, when a thousand people under the stage were an important goal. We see them".
Emis Killa
Pseudonym of Emiliano Rudolf Giambelli, born in 1989, in 2007 he participated in the "Perfect Techniques" competition, where he won the title of Italian freestyle champion. He begins to publish his first works, “Keta Music” (2009), “Champagne e spine” (2010) and “The Flow Clocker Vol. 1” (2011).
In 2011 he released the album “L'erbavilla”, and the single “Parole di ice”, winning the “Best Italian Act” at the MTV Europe Music Awards and the “Best New Artist” at the MTV Hip Hop Awards. In 2013 the album “Mercurio” was released which includes the summer hit “Maracanã”.
He is the protagonist of one of the most famous hip hop events in the world, still the only Italian to have participated in it, the Bet Hip Hop Awards. From 2013 to 2016 he hosts "One Two One Two" on Radio Deejay and "Goal Deejay" on Sky. In 2015 he hosted the MTV Awards and released "Keta Music Vol. 2". In 2016 he was among the judges of the fourth edition of The Voice and at the end of the year he published "Third Season".
The most recent successes
At the end of 2017 “Linda” was released. In the summer of 2018 he released the radio hit "Rollercoaster" and subsequently the single "Fuoco e petrol", both included in the album "Supereroe" followed by "Supereroe - Bat Edition", preceded by "Tijuana". In June 2020 you hosted “YO! MTV Raps” the Italian version of the legendary MTV USA program entirely dedicated to rap music.
In the same year he signed with Sony Music Entertainment and on September 18th he released the album "17" with Jake La Furia, certified double platinum and preceded by the single "Malandrino", certified gold. The repack of the album “26 – Dark edition” will be released on February 2021, 17.
In 2021 he released the mixtape "Keta Music vol.3", certified gold and the third chapter of the saga that characterized and accompanied the rapper's entire production.
