Oristano, music, books and images with “Àmana – Sounds between earth and sky”.

The second edition of "Àmana - Sounds between earth and sky" begins on Thursday 6 July at 19.30 pm at the Antiquarium Arborense Museum and will end on Sunday 9th in front of the Mariano Tower.

“On the wave of the success of the first edition, Àmana becomes an exhibition with the artistic direction confirmed to Giangi Cappai – announces the Mayor Massimiliano Sanna -. This year the program is expanding, musicians and dates are added, which with an eclectic and cross-contamination approach will offer music, art and culture".

The first evening

First appointment Thursday 6 July, at 19.30 pm, at the Antiquarium Arborense Archaeological Museum with the presentation of the book by Marisa Roncati and Giangi Cappai entitled “You will not have other teeth. A modern defense of your health”. Simone Cireddu will talk to the authors while Giangi Cappai will take care of the DJ set. “The book offers anecdotes, pills of wisdom and singular revelations, to gain health, because a healthy mouth impacts general well-being” explain the authors. During the event, participants will be able to taste an aperitif offered by the Contini Winery. Entrance 5 euros

The second evening

Second appointment on Friday 7 July, at 20pm, July at the Hospitalis Sancti Antoni, the concert by Kety Fusco who will perform live with her electric harp and synthesizers.
Followed by the DJ set by Fabrizio Minozzi & Gabriele Pinna (DJ set) who will perform a back to back on the history of house music in Sardinia and Italy, with episodes in the best clubs in Europe.

The third evening

Sunday 9 July at the foot of the Tower of San Cristoforo last appointment with Toa Mata Band and the animated LEGO characters and immediately afterwards with the DJ set by Giangi Cappai. The artistic proposal of the Toa Mata Band offers Lego characters that come alive giving an electronic music band worthy of the best dancefloors.

The mechatronic orchestra conceived and conceived by Giuseppe Acito AKA Opificio Sonico, is made up of eight small characters from the LEGO Bionicle series, programmed to play drum-synths, acoustic percussion and smartphones. The saga has currently reached its ninth episode including original compositions and tributes to Daft Punk, Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk and Herbie Hancock.

Following, the performance of Giangi Cappai & String Trio, a mix proposal by a DJ, musician and sound engineer, with a hybrid set up that includes DJ sets and keyboards, flanked by two violinists and a double bass player. This is a second episode of the previous concert, with new songs by Giangi, new arrangements and contaminated atmospheres.

Three evenings of great public interest

“The event offers three evenings of great interest for the public – comments the Councilor for Culture Luca Faedda -. The two concerts on 9 July, at the foot of the tower, will be accompanied by images broadcast on two screens of the entire show, repeating the successful formula of the first edition of the Àmana event, confirming itself as an original production, full of suggestions, which aims to valorise of the Tower of San Cristoforo through images and music".

The event is organized by the Culture Department of the Municipality of Oristano in collaboration with the Oristano Foundation and the Sardinia Foundation.
