Opening of the Paris Air Show, participation of Edmondo Cirielli
The mission to Paris of the Hon. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation is underway. Edmund Cirielli, to participate with the government delegation led by the Minister of Defense Hon. Guido Crosetto at theopening of the Paris Le Bourget Air Show and for bilateral meetings with representatives of the International Organizations accredited in Paris and the French Government.
Yesterday, Monday 19 June, welcomed by Ambassador Emanuela D'Alessandro, the Italian government delegation attended the opening ceremony of the Show, inaugurated by President Macron, and subsequently visited the pavilions of the Italian companies and organizations present at the Show.
The 54th edition of the Paris Air Show, scheduled until 25 June, is the most important event that brings together, every two years, the main industries in the aeronautical and space sector at a global level, and represents, for businesses and territories characterized like Italy by a strong aerospace specialization, a great opportunity to make one's skills and products known to professionals, as well as encouraging the inclusion of the big players' subcontractors in the supply chains.
Today, however, Deputy Minister Cirielli will meet Josef Aschbacher, President of the European Space Agency, of which Italy is the third contributor, to further enhance our country's participation in the Agency's programs. Subsequently, Deputy Minister Cirielli will have a conversation with the Deputy Secretary of the OECD, the Italian Fabrizia Lapecorella, with responsibility for fiscal policies, administration and environment, to address specific cooperation dossiers with the Organization in these sectors, and with the OECD Secretary General Mathias Cormann.
At the end, the VM Cirielli will meet the Secretary of State with responsibility for Development Crysoula Zacharopoulou at the Quai d'Orsay for go into detail, as foreseen by the Quirinale Treaty, the promotion of forms of collaboration and joint programs in development cooperation in areas of particular mutual interest, such as the Sahel.
