Naples: The “European Week of Sport 2024” is underway, with the watchword “BeActive”! From 23 to 30 September, thousands of sporting events for everyone.

Sport at the heart of the European agenda: it will be a moment of sharing to reiterate the importance of an active daily life, which improves the quality of life!

Born in 2015, to respond to the crisis of inactivity and to demonstrate that sport and physical activity contribute significantly to the well-being of the community, the “European Week of Sport” It is the most important continental event promoted by the European Commission on the subject of sport.

All events scheduled from September 1st to October 15th in the Municipality of Naples can be included in the Agenda of Events of the "European Sports Week", common and shared by all European cities that are part of the “ACES” network and with European institutional partners, recognizing international relevance to the activities carried out in the City.

“The initiative, promoted by the European Commission and supported by “ACES EUROPE”, confirms the importance attributed to sport in the educational path of each individual and in the development and redevelopment path of cities, representing, at the same time, an important opportunity to enhance the title acquired by the city of Naples as “European Capital of Sport 2026”, supports the Councilor for Sport and Equal Opportunities Emanuela Ferrante.
