Mystery Train, music lessons at the mysterious baths

Freedom, frontier, industry, solitude… the train was an extraordinary metaphor for American modernity. In the second half of the nineteenth century and until the 50s, the railway was an absolute protagonist of the American imagination, as a symbol of freedom but also of solitude, of progress but also of struggles and clashes between different social classes. And it is undoubtedly at the center of folk, blues and rock musical production. 'Mystery Train' is a journey through notes and words in American history and culture with Gabriele Amalfitano (guitar and vocals), Matteo Portelli (keyboard and bass), Margherita Laterza (vocals and readings) and Alessandro Portelli (short story).
