Montecchio Maggiore: the event “Business and Gender Equality – From experiential metaphors to organizational innovation” was held

Over 90 participants, all strictly women, they competed this morning at Villa Cordellina in Montecchio Maggiore (VI) in experiential activities with improvisational theatre exercises focused on leadership.

Creative, highly engaging activities, alternating with sessions of analysis of dynamics, to encourage participants to reflect and apply what they have learned in their work and personal environment. This is what the second of the six thematic events promoted by the leading bodies of the PARI Call projects, in collaboration with the Department of Labour, Education, Training and Equal Opportunities of the Veneto Region, for promote gender equality in the labour market and foster a better work-life balance.

The event, entitled 'Business and Gender Equality – From Experiential Metaphors to Organizational Innovation' has dealt with the topic “Female Leadership and Top Roles in Society“, with the aim of supporting an equitable gender distribution in top management and economic leadership roles in all sectors of society.

“The initiative supported with the resources of the PR Veneto FSE+ 2021-2027 – explains the Councilor for Labor and Equal Opportunities Valeria Mantovan – aims to enhance the skills of girls and women, promoting awareness of their talents and access to management positions, also thanks to positive local examples, strengthening female empowerment and lobbying capacity, and raising awareness in businesses and the territory on gender balance and the rebalancing of family responsibilities. These are projects that are necessary to trigger the long-awaited change since, as the data shows, women not only continue to encounter more obstacles in their career paths, but the share of female managers is significantly lower than that of men, as is the female presence in entrepreneurship. With funding of approximately 10 million euros, 24 innovative projects were launched, each of which focused on a specific theme, chosen from those identified in the call to promote women's participation in the labor market, enhance professional paths and improve the balance between work and private life”.

The proposed event, through direct testimonies and experiential activities, allowed the public to get to the heart of the issue and concretely experience the complex situations that a person finds himself facing, a sort of metaphor to explore organizational innovation and overcome gender stereotypes.

The event was organized by the following leading bodies of the PARI Call projects, under the PR Veneto FSE+ 2021-2027:

  • CFLI with the project “I bring equality";
  • ESAC SPA with the project “A ROOM OF ONE'S OWN: physical, cultural and economic spaces for the development and valorization of female leadership";
  • IRECOOP VENETO with the project "PLUS: More Leadership and Equality for Development".
