Modena. With the Motor Valley Fest, “Tables under the stars” returns.

From Friday 3 May the weekends where the public businesses in the historic center will expand. And with the “Moon Nights” on Saturdays we stay late, until 2 am.

During the weekend of the Motor Valley Fest in Modena, “Tavolini sotto le stelle” returns, the initiative promoted by the Municipality which, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings from 19pm to 23pm, allows public establishments in some areas of the historic center until September to extend, thanks to the limitations of vehicular traffic, the areas furnished with tables and mobile seats beyond the space of the normal outdoor areas.

This year Via Modonella is also added to the traditional nine areas of the center and already on Saturday 4 May we will have the first of the "Moon Nights", the evenings in which the opening hours of the "Tavolini" are extended until 2am and all the businesses in the historic center with dehors (even those not strictly affected by the weekend initiative) can remain open and offer their services beyond the usual hours.

Between May and September this year there will be six "Moon Nights" coinciding with as many city events: we start with the Motor Valley Fest and continue with the Night of Museums (18 May), the European Music Festival (21 June), the Festivalfilosofia (14 September), the Festival Dig (21 September) and Smart Life Festival (28 September).

Born in 2020, in the midst of the health emergency, with the aim of allowing an orderly expansion of the outdoor spaces of public establishments, guaranteeing distancing, the "Tables under the stars" initiative has now entered the habits of the people of Modena, it is also recognizable by a specific logo and, thanks to the collaboration with trade associations, it has been included by the Department of Economic Policies and Tourism as a special project in the Dehors Regulation, so as to be able to activate it to continue to encourage social opportunities in spaces of the historic center.

The ten areas affected are those of piazzale Torti, via Castel Maraldo, via Gallucci, Calle di Luca – San Francesco, via Albinelli, via Ruggera, largo Sant'Eufemia and via Carteria, via Badia, via Bertolda and, from this year, also via Modonella. To allow the initiative to take place, transit is limited in the streets and squares involved with diversions for vehicular traffic, but still leaving a 3,50 meter safety corridor free for emergency vehicles.

Modena. Con il Motor Valley Fest torna "Tavolini sotto le stelle".
