Modena. The Motor Valley Fest begins on Thursday, May 2.

The widespread festival will be held in the city until Sunday the 5th, with a calendar of events for enthusiasts and professionals. We start from the conference at the municipal theatre.

The sixth edition of the Motor Valley Fest kicks off on Thursday 2 May and offers a rich calendar of events until Sunday 5 May, aimed at enthusiasts and professionals with over twenty in-depth meetings with companies in the sector, 12 talent talks for young talents, an exhibition in the squares of the historic centre of Modena of dozens of models of cars and motorbikes from the most prestigious manufacturers in the Land of Motors and beyond.

Among the jewels that can be admired, for example, there is also the McLaren Senna and three models of the Ducati 916 Senna motorbike, to remember the legendary Ayrton Senna on the thirtieth anniversary of his death. And again, extraordinary openings of the Motor Valley museums, parades of historic cars, the course to become test drivers, preview screenings of films and tributes to the engineer Forghieri, and for those with a sweet tooth, don't miss the tastings of typical products.

There will be no shortage of great celebrations for enthusiasts, such as the one at the regional racetracks, where international motorsport events will take place in conjunction with the Fest. Complete and updated program: www.motorvalley.it.

Among the new features this year is also the possibility of visiting Modena and its territory on the trail of Michael Mann's film "Ferrari", discovering the locations used for filming. The map can be consulted on www.visitmodena.it.

The Motor Valley Fest opens as per tradition on Thursday, at 9am, with the conference at the Pavarotti theatre – Freni dedicated to the new scenarios of the automotive sector in this increasingly complex geopolitical moment, to what are the challenges to be faced also in light of the spread of Artificial Intelligence and what are the strategies of sustainable mobility. Among the topics that the experts will develop are also ways to retain talent and how to attract young people.

After the institutional greetings of the mayor Gian Carlo Muzzarelli and the president of the Emilia-Romagna Region Stefano Bonaccini, and the speech by Stefano Domenicali, president and CEO Formula 1 (in video), Andreas Cornet and Michele Bertoncello, McKinsey partners, with Christian Richter, director Gcas Global Vertical Lead Automotive & Auto Retail at Google, will present an update on the high performance and luxury car market with an assessment of the growth of consumers in this market, their preferences and their selection criteria. Giovanna Vitelli, president of Azimut Benetti Group and Andrea Casaluci, CEO Pirelli will then speak with two insights dedicated to the topic of sustainability; while Johannes-Joerg Rueger, president of Bosch Engineering GmbH, will illustrate to the audience the strategy for applying artificial intelligence in the mobility sector.

Followed by the Motor Valley Top Table with the participation of the CEOs of the major brands in the Motor Valley.

At the end of the conference, at 13 pm, the ribbon cutting ceremony for the event will take place in the Cortile d'Onore of the Palazzo Ducale in Piazza Roma. The Motor Valley Fest talks and round tables will continue on the afternoon of Thursday 2 May and throughout the day on Friday 3 May, with the B2B talks.

The Motor Valley Fest is organized by the Emilia-Romagna Region, Apt Servizi Emilia-Romagna, the Municipality of Modena, the Motor Valley Development Association, Muner, Meneghini & Associati, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ice Agency, Unioncamere Emilia-Romagna, the Modena Chamber of Commerce, the Modena Foundation, in partnership with Anfia, Unrae industrial vehicles section, Autopromotec, Aci, Bologna Fiere – Motor Show. The event is co-financed by European funds from the Emilia-Romagna Region Por Fesr 2014-2020.
