Modena: Italian and French students united for an Erasmus short film.

On Thursday 21st November, in the Galleria Europa, as part of the Erasmus project, the event took place the first operational meeting between the Venturi boys and the Tournan en Brie partners.

They will make it together a short film set in Modena and the French city of Tournan en Brie who will participate in the contest “Giffoni movie lab”. They are the students of the Venturi Art Institute and their “colleagues” from the small town about fifty kilometers from Paris who met yesterday, Thursday 21 November, in Galleria Europa for a first operational meeting within the framework of the European project Erasmus+ Vet (Vocational education training) which offers international mobility opportunities to students and teachers to promote cultural and educational exchanges.

The children, accompanied by the director of the Venturi Institute Luigia Paolino, were welcomed in Galleria Europa, home of the Europe Direct Center of Modena, by the Councilor for Educational Policies of the Municipality of Modena Federica Venturelli.

The contest, linked to the Giffoni Film Festival, was presented by Angelo Giovannini, director of Modenamoremio which organizes the initiative, in collaboration with the Modena Chamber of Commerce and with the patronage of the Municipality.

The contest involves the creation of short films that enhance the historic center of Modena. The creative process began yesterday, cwith a first approach of the kids to writing the screenplay. The two groups will work in parallel until March 2025 when, during a second mobility within the Erasmus project, they will meet again to edit the images. Six Italian students will participate in an individual mobility, living an experience of cultural exchange and hospitality with French families.

simultaneously, two teachers of the address will be involved in a job shadowing mobility, making the most of their cinematographic skills.
