Milano: La Milanesiana at the Piccolo Teatro Strehler with David Garret.

THE MILANESIANA, created and directed by Elizabeth Sgarbi, returns on June 19th at Piccolo Teatro Strehler by Milano with the special participation of the world famous violinist David Garrett.

The event will begin at 21.00 pm with a prologue by Pulitzer Prize for Fiction 1999 Michael Cunningham.

David Garrett, child prodigy who in over 30 years of career has worked with legendary conductors and established himself as one of the most appreciated violinists in the world, will talk to the journalist Matteo Cruccu and then will perform in concert.

His book is coming out "If you only knew(Baldini + Castoldi) which tells the story of the difficult road that led David Garrett to success. His childhood was characterized by discipline and daily work with his father e only now, years later, David Garrett is able to look behind him and proudly observe the road travelled. The book tells his story for the first time: made up of dazzling successes, but also tinged with melancholy and insecurities. From classical concerts with the most prestigious orchestras in the world to meeting his masters: Ida Handel, Itzhak Perlman, Yehudi Menuhin; until arriving at Juillard and New York, where he laid the foundations for a new genre – the crossover – which combines virtuoso violin music with pop and rock.
