Milano, Museum of the Twentieth Century. Four exhibition projects created on the occasion of have been inaugurated and can be visited Milano Art Week.

It is set up in the Futurism Gallery, at the beginning of the museum itinerary “VOL. XXXI: Futurism Drama”, site-specific intervention by the Cypriot artist Haris Epaminondas (Nicosia, 1980), winner of the first edition of Henraux Sculpture Commission Foundation. The exhibition, curated by Edoardo Bonaspetti and promoted by the Henraux Foundation in collaboration with the Museo del Novecento, is a tale of visions, thoughts and temporalities. It opens a unpublished dialogue between the masterpieces of the early twentieth century, a selection of works by Medardo Rosso – a reference figure for the Futurist avant-garde – and the artist's research. With his compositions Epaminonda recalls not only the importance of the connection between different thoughts and cultural traditions, but also the value and quality that new possible worlds can take on (10 April – 12 May).

Continuing the journey, in the room on the third floor of the Museum, you find space “Off Script”, the Dutch artist's solo exhibition Magali Reus (The Hague, 1981), winner of the VII edition of the Arnaldo Pomodoro Prize for Sculpture, created in collaboration with the Museo del Novecento and curated by Federico Giani. It exhibits a selection of the artist's most recent sculptures, the Clementines, a series that takes its visual inspiration from traditional family jam and preserve jars. These are intentionally artificial and destabilizing sculptural objects that represent, according to Reus' poetics, a reconfiguration of the familiar and habitual objects that constitute our world (10 April – 30 June).

On the fourth floor, in the spaces of the Archives of the Twentieth Century, “ARCHIVE_001. From 1940 to today – Snapshots from the art galleries of Milano", Edited by Mariuccia Casadio, is the first chapter of a research that intends to reconstruct over seventy years of history of the private galleries of Milano with their artistic choices, international relations, avant-garde events, meetings with artists. The exhibition is promoted by MAC – Milano Art Community, the network that brings together the most important galleries and institutions in the city of Milano, in partnership with Gucci (10 April – 30 June 2024).

Still on the fourth floor, it closes the route “Portrait of the City (20/20.000HZ)”, a large multi-channel audio-video installation by the duo Masbedo (Iacopo Bedogni and Niccolò Massazza) curated by Cloe Piccoli, who is among the winners of the eleventh edition of Italian Council (2022), the program of the General Directorate for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture aimed at the international promotion of Italian contemporary art.
The project talks about cultural revival of Milano: from the electronic music of the RAI Studio di Fonologia, from the inventions of Luciano Berio and Bruno Maderna, the gaze broadens to architecture (BBPR), art (Lucio Fontana), cinema (Michelangelo Antonioni), graphics (10 April – 30 June 2024).
