Il Dance gala confirms itself among the most loved dance events and “Great ballets”, scheduled for Sforza Castle of Milano il August 3th, contains all the peculiarities that the public expects. A evening with captivating titles which, between spectacular virtuosity and high-impact choreography, will not fail to excite and enchant, involve and amaze.

“Our dancers all have a background of high classical training, but it is for their unique and individual artistry that they were chosen for our Company", explains Carlo Pesta artistic director of the Ballet of Milano. "We thought of an evening that values ​​them all without distinction, because everyone deserves to be valued. They are young people with great potential, both technical, which allows them to tackle famous pieces of the classical repertoire, and interpretative. Skills that they have demonstrated extensively throughout the season and are well known to the public who always follows us with enthusiasm.".

Il program it is therefore announced ricco of those always awaited songs including i pas de deux da Swan Lake e The Sleeping Beauty, but also presents choreographies taken from the Company's exclusive repertoire. “We thought of alternating the most well-known pas de deux with choral pieces, all strictly classical, which are part of highly successful international productions including "Viva Verdi", which will be revived in October upon request by the Italian Ambassador to Morocco for represent Italian dance in Rabat, Casablanca and other Moroccan cities".

Opening and closing of the evening with two neoclassical choreographies of great liveliness signed by Agnese Omodei Salè on pieces by the great Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi, respectively taken from Othello and the Sicilian Vespers. Also created exclusively for the Company are Daphnis et Chloé by Ravel and Romeo and Juliet to music by Thaikovsky, with choreography by Adriana Mortelliti the first and by Federico Veratti the second. The two pas de deux of great emotional intensity celebrate the love that has just blossomed between the young protagonists of their respective stories.

They complete the program three pas de deux which, with the aforementioned "Lago"and "Bella” are among the cornerstones of the great classical repertoire: The Flames of Paris by Boris Asaf'ev, the very famous Don Quixote by Minkus and Le Corsaire by Adam.
