Central Station: “The Birth” of the Sculptural Anamorphosis

In front of the majestic façade of the Central Station, an artistic installation caught the attention of passers-by. The work, entitled "The Birth", marks the artist's debut in the field of sculptural anamorphosis in Milano. Using optical illusions, the installation transforms the surrounding space into a surreal environment, inviting observers to explore reversed perspectives and transformed realities.

“The installation 'The Birth' is the artist's debut in the field of sculptural anamorphosis here in Milano. This art form uses optical illusions to transform the surrounding world into a surreal environment, where perspectives are reversed and everyday reality is transformed into something extraordinary.

In front of the main facade of the station, various scaffolding appeared with cardboards that make up the final design. The complete visual effect of the installation is revealed only when you are in front of it, allowing you to clearly observe the pattern of emerging rocks, strictly in black and white. This technique creates an illusion of depth and three-dimensionality, giving life to a work that seems to interact with the surrounding space in a magical and surreal way.

Last year, the same artist created a similar project on the facade of the Palazzo Farnese in Rome, while in Paris he created several works, including a particularly evocative one installed around the Louvre.

This new installation a Milano not only adds a touch of charm and mystery to the station's facade, but also offers passers-by a unique artistic experience that invites them to look at the world from a different perspective, challenging visual conventions and stimulating the imagination.”

Brands such as Nardi, Lechler, Toyota Material Handling Europe, Solgami & Seagram, Karimoku and Keio University presented works that celebrate sustainability, innovation and craftsmanship.

From the renovation of Antica Fabbrica 14 to the transformation of outdoor spaces such as the “Artists' Bridge”, the Tortona Design Week offered an engaging experience that enchanted visitors with a unique mix of history, tradition and modernity.

The 2024 Tortona Design Week aims to bring out the profound connection between the exhibition itinerary and the territorial context that has always characterized the Tortona district. The central theme, the “Walk of Design”, guides visitors through the iconic places of the neighborhood, offering an immersive experience that winds through indoor and outdoor spaces, along the streets and inside ancient factories. Places such as the evocative "Ponte degli Artisti", the Antica Fabbrica 14 with its distinctive chimney and other emblematic points such as the Ex Ansaldo and the Torneria Traviganti, become scenarios for installations that mix historical heritage with contemporary creativity.
